    Changed a few things, my speakers have blown :puppyeyes: So I'm having to work with just my headphones. Hoping this hasn't effected it too much. If I can't find a replacement for them I might have to ask someone out there to help me master this damn thing :P

    Like the others suggested, a realz guitar would make me a VERY happy bunny, and I will be willing to help you out by any means that I can, if you can help me in this matter? And ofcourse credit you.

    As always PLEASE comment, suggest and critque. I can take it like a big boy! :tomatoface::P

    I would be very interested in this. Over the past few months I have worked on some FFVIII remixes, including My Mind, Under Her Control, Movin and Premonition (Which can all be found at www.soundcloud.com/anti-syne and here stats.png)

    I'd be interested in working on other songs if you like what I do, or I could change/improve the ones i've already worked on.

    I like what you have here :) But if you could move away from the synth a little bit, that would be more what we are after. Post a quick WIP sometime with something upbeat and playful from FF8 and then PM me when you have. I'd like to see what you come up with. :-o

    Ah I remember those days!! Use to love making custom sprites, I worked only in RPG Maker 2003 though so I was limited, but I made the most out of what I could. Kinda wish I didn't see this cause now I wanna jump back into where I left off lol.

    Am bored and thought I'd bump stuff.

    I mean, I'm tired of waiting for ppl to start handing in their wips (and wavs, plz) closer to the deadline.

    I mean, we still have room on the project. If you make me happy (wavs and wips make me happy), I'll make a project preview thingy.:D

    In other words... Bump.

    Wish I had more experience, would love to join you on this, but saddly I'm not nearly good enough yet. But I will follow you all on this and I look forward to what you all come up with.

    Nice smooth sound. Not without issues tho. Guitars are easily fake, and something in the background is clashing, you should put that in the right key. Good start, nice sound. Might be a bit too conservative for ocr, take the rhythm or something into a new direction. :D

    I think I found what was clashing in the background and removed it. As for the guitar, I was aiming for a synthy sound to it, but if you think it might sound better with a real guitar, I could try to find someone who could play for me? Or just change it into a synth?

    I'll post a update one what I have soon, but i'd still love more advice from everyone, so if you take the time to listen, please take the time to comment. Thankyou in advance everyone! Back to work I go! :sleepdepriv:

    Very much in the begining stages, but still after advice and anything else you wish to share with me, the completed track will be around 3 to 4 minutes long.

    Just wanted to share what I have, and see if the feel of the song is working so far.

    If you want, I am always looking for someone to collab with as well, so if you want to help out in a more personal way PM me your MSN or Skype.

    Again, ANYTHING you think might make this better please tell me, and yes I know I'm staying true to the original melody, But I will tweak it somewhat in the end. I don't want to change it too much, there's a reason I chose this song, and it's because I love the original so much :):tomatoface:

    I'm basically working on a animated series based on Selphie from Final Fantasy VIII with a good friend of mine who goes by FFJason on his Youtube account.

    We are after some fun remixes of songs that are in FF8. The Irish Jig and Ride On would be great!

    About the series: It's still animation comedy based on the events of Selphie from FF8.

    The sense of humour is vulgar and twisted, and contains alot of other characters from the FF series. The series it's self is called "Selphie's World" and should be out by the end of this summer.

    If you are easily offended I suggest turning back now. I will post some links below so you can get a sense of the style of animation and the type of humour we are after.

    I will also post a list of the songs we need remixed, if you want to apply for the song just comment below stating the song you wish to remix. We would love to see what you can do! If someone applies for a song you wanted, just apply yourself, we might choose yours over theirs, or even use both if it fits to a scene.

    I'll be totally honest with you all...

    I have been remixing now for maybe 6 or 7 years? I really only have experience working with midis in Anvil Studio, then a year ago I got FL Studio, and recently Reason4.

    Though my skills within these two programs are limited, I make up for it with a great deal of creativity and a never ending love for VGM.

    I am looking for someone (or a few people) at a beginner to expert level to work with me in remixing music, be it just the one song, or many. If you are an expert at this then I would hope you would have patience with me in my learning. If like me you are pretty new to using more advanced software (more the Anvil Studio at least) the I would love to learn together. I'm more then happy to give examples of my ability if asked.

    Most of all, I just want to have fun with this, and I ask that if you are interested in teaming up with me, that you want only the same at the very least! :tomatoface:

    I will give some examples of the game soundtracks I love! In hopes that it will help show if or tastes are compatible

    Donkey Kong Country 1,2 and 3. (Not sooo much into 3 :P )

    Final Fantasy series, 8, 9 and 10, some 10-2, and 13.

    Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross.

    Star Fox Adventures.

    Various songs from the Sonic series.

    Dark Cloud 2.

    Various songs from the Zelda series.

    Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2.

    Most Mario games have a few I like.

    Theres so many more but I hope you get an idea of the type of music I'm into :-P

    If a reMixer could take the time to rearrange The Sight of Spira for Final Fantasy X, that would be great. Although the track by itself is somewhat repetitive, it is very open to many interpretations of the song.

    YES! Absolutely agree with this, I have tried in the past but never really got into it, maybe now I have a little more experience I might give it a go. The version I did was kinda mid-evil sounding, took some perc samples from FFXI and they seemed to fit well with a little work, and just played with the melody a bit.

    But if I was to try again, what kinda style would you have in mind?

    I'm pretty new to Reason 4, been using FL Studio now for a while. I am after even the most basic of tips. I'm hoping you will all share your pearls of wisdom with us all.

    Things like how to create some good variance in the velocity of notes,

    How to make something sound more "real",

    Or even how to use the EQ would be great! Really anything would be awsome, and could be of great use to others in the future.
