  1. Can I be white-listed? My user name is GeneralGilliam

You guys just need people to vouch for you, to let us know you are good people who won't be bad.

Well, I don't really have anyone to vouch for me, anyone?

How about just un-whitelist or blacklist me if I mess with people (not that I would anyways, I'd mostly be making a gigantic kingdom of my own).

  2. Well, Guitar Hero and Rock Band drums are what led me to actually taking up real drums, and without them I never would have even given a thought to drumming. So for that, I'll always love these games, but lately they have gotten quite stale, pumping out too much of the same stuff.

Now, what Harmonix needs to do is get information from their fans on the features they'd like in a game, build an extensive list of those features, then try and incorporate as many as possible into one new game. And then just continue to support that game with future DLC and expansions. The moving to a whole new game is where many fans are dropped. People simply don't have the money to keep up with all the games and peripherals.

  3. WHY IS THIS POSTED IN THE OFF-TOPIC SECTION OF THE FORUM IT IS A THREAD ABOUT VIDEO GAMES THERE IS A HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT AT THE VERY TOP OF THE OFF-TOPIC FORUM IN ALL CAPS THAT SAYS VIDEO GAME THREADS BELONG IN THE COMMUNITY SECTION WHY IS THIS CONCEPT SO DIFFICULT TO UNDERSTAND FOR PEOPLE?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

  4. Joystiq has learned that the previously rumored remake of Halo: Combat Evolved will indeed launch this holiday season for Xbox 360 with a full visual overhaul. Sources explain that the re-release is not Bungie's 2001 Xbox game simply running at a higher resolution -- it's being remade with new art assets. While Halo's audio will likely remain unaltered, the controls will allow for more recent Halo configurations.

The Halo: Combat Evolved remake is allegedly being developed by New Jersey-based Saber Interactive, the company behind TimeShift and Namco's upcoming Inversion, but we've been unable to confirm the nature of the engine powering it. We understand that it's something other than the Reach engine.

The Halo: Combat Evolved update, one of two Halo games currently in development under the watchful eye of 343 Industries, is expected to support 1080p resolution and 3D televisions. Details on multiplayer are supposedly still being worked out, but we understand the remake will likely feature online co-op (the original game supported two-player split-screen co-op).

The game is expected to re-evolve on November 15, 2011, ten years after Halo: Combat Evolved launched alongside the Xbox. Our sources didn't know of any plans to similarly upgrade the recently disconnected Halo 2, but it's hard to imagine Microsoft playing favorites with its biggest franchise.

Huh, not sure whether this is a good thing or a bad thing. While it would be cool to have a better remake of this game, I dobn't want people to leave Reach to play this.

  5. Hey Bahamut, sorry I never got back to you on the status of the song I was kinda working on, but I decided to drop the project. On another note though, I am currently remixing Zero Stage 2 (Cyber Maze Core) from X5. Not sure if I'll have it done on deadline, so I guess this'll kinda be like if I finish it on time I'll submit it to you, if not, oh well.

Here' a link to the original http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQSDf-V0yDs

This is kinda hard to remix as it's already a techno song, but I'll try my hardest to get a good sounding mix out before the WIP due date.

  6. Hi everyone, let me start of by introducing myself; My name is Tim Foss, I work with bands and musicians to get their music onto various video games, and am currently working on the video game Rock Band 2, getting bands/artist's music into the game as DLC via the Rock Band Network.

I am looking for musicians for a project that I am doing for Rock Band 2. I would like a band to make a song specifically for Rock Band, with lots of fast notes, some raging solos, blast beats ect... while still maintaining a catchy and enjoyable sound/tune. This isn't a small custom project or anything, the song will actually be on the game for sale!

I realize this will probably take some time and planning to complete, but, you will be paid (we'll talk more about payment if you're interested).

    BREAKDOWN:

    What I'm looking for:

    Guitarist

    Drummer

    Bassist

Singer/lyricist (optional, as song CAN be an instrumental)

Short version: I'm looking to get a very difficult, yet catchy song made specifically for the video game Rock Band 2. I need GOOD guitarist/s, drummer/s, bassist/s, and possibly a vocalist/lyricist. This song must be difficult (the harder the better) for the players playing it while still nice to listen too. You WILL be paid for this too FYI.

If you're interested leave a comment here, or send me an email at generalgilliam@gmail.com

Be sure to give some examples of previous works as well as what type/genre of music you are most comfortable with, what instruments you can play, and how you think you would fit into this project.

    Thanks

    ~Tim

  7. It's actually not the easiest source to work with unless you go for a more straightforward take. It might be incorporated with DJ Symbiotix's track though.

True, it might not be that easy to make a remix of a song that already sounds like a techno remix lol. I just think tht with the right remixer this song has the potential to blow people away.
