  1. "I chose the wrong Pokemon!" Yeah, I looked at the download screen and saw that and this other "free mp3 converter". I downloaded the latter, problems ensued. But now it's doing great. There's the occasional *pop* while it's still in Reason, though. I assume that's because it's too loud? Most likely. tl;dr (too lazy; didn't read): thank you
  2. Okay, so I ran the song through some mastering (lowered the sound levels, tried to add in a few fades, and cleaned it up throughout), yet stayed basically on the same song (didn't really add anything except a reprise of the intro in the middle of the song. HOWEVER... After converting it to MP3, there's a popping sound in the song (it's not supposed to be there, as you may have guessed). Help?
  3. Sounds intense haha I like what you've done. I like at 2:10 when it drops back to piano for a few seconds, then just rushes back in. I feel that you could've extended the "dun-duuuuuun" part at 3:04 a little more - drop down, then build up some intensity, then explode back into the main theme. Overall, I really liked it good job!
  4. Okay... So I've taken down the intro (yeah, it was out of place) and replaced it. I then added a bass line and drums, then a rhythm section (piano and guitar) and a lead section (two guitars). I'm fairly happy with the results, although I think it could go a little longer. What does OCR think
  5. Hey, OCRemix I'm sitting here and I threw this together after scrapping something I had been working on. It's my first attempt at remixing anything, really, so... I tried to just go basic with Ocarina of Time's Windmill Hut (or Song of Storms) theme (with Ice Cavern at the beginning). After 2:57, it's just a loop of the main rhythm (so you can stop listening then haha) and I was wondering if I should put a solo on top of that (probably will). So what do you guys think? Any instruments feel out of place, anything feel like it should be there and isn't? Thanks, OCR, I hope to get some helpful criticism haha Download link - http://www.mediafire.com/?n5mjnmmhrnn
  6. 1. Red from Pokemon 2. Companion Cube 3. Master Chief
  7. Sir... Madam... To whom it may concern (loomcore and Avaris)... I love you. Thank you
  8. Yep, worked great Now, I've done the same thing with Tempo that I did with Time Signature, BUT... It's... Just not working. I've drawn out separate blocks using the pencil tool and tried right-clicking and altering tempo in the transport bar, but... It's affecting the entire song (I want to switch from 160bpm to 96 bpm). But the MIDI import and TS changes work fine it's just the tempo changes
  9. I really wanna see the New York level (at least, I think it was NY. It's like the 3rd level in the SNES version) I remember playing that when i was like 5 and thinking, "Wow, this is badass". I know I'm asking for SNES in an N64 thread, BUT... That'd be great if someone did it oh, here's the link
  10. thanks, avaris and loomcore for midi insertion, que and i mean QUE do i do lol
  11. okay, so i found the transport bar and "checked" the "time signature" option in the blue pull-down menu. now i highlighted the section i wanted to change from 3/4 to 4/4 and it says "The time signature is automated and cannot be changed from the transport panel. To change the time signature, you can either edit the time signature clips in the transport track or turn off the time signature lane." Now, I see where you're mentioning what you're mentioning... just... WAT. lol sorry, but thanks. uh... WAIT do you use the pencil tool? cuz i'm drawing a colored box that has an option to change the t.s. (3/4 4/4 6/8, etc). is that what you're talking about? after that, how do i apply it to all the other tracks and make it permanent? thanks
  12. So I was wondering (I finally began working. With Reason 4) if R4 had a way of changing time signatures in the middle of a song. Like putting that as part of a song. Because I'm trying to make a medley of a few Zelda songs, one of which being OoT's Song of Storms. That's in 3/4. The others are in 4/4. Will I have to work around that or... what? And I wanted to do this thing where I have the MIDI of the Link to the Past title piano descent at the beginning of the song (the intro until the dotted half note in the second bar). Can I do that at all, or... Anyways, thanks for your time
  13. So now I'm in the process of viewing a ballsload of Reason tutorials on YouTube. Reason or REAPER - your opinion: which is better?
  14. Rozovian, thank you I think I can handle writing in MIDI and tweaking VGM MIDIs... If I knew what software to use. Does REAPER do MIDI, or do I have to find something else to do it?
  15. I'm new to the forums (I've been a listener of this site since about January) and I just found the time to start this. Only problem is... How do I start? I mean, I've been trying to gather information here and I've downloaded what I believe to be the basics (LAME encoder, REAPER, ZynAddSubFX, Soundfonts(DarkeSword), Synth1, VST plugins)... Now what? I'm in the process of reading the REAPER manual... But if someone could be so kind as to walk me through this (where do I get the music? do i just create it?). I'm familiar with music (proficient in guitar, trumpet, french horn), but just not in this fashion (synths, REAPER, etc) Right now... Any and all help would be appreciated, OCR
