  1. That's sweet. That'll give a good varying range of styles.

Like one guy might be awesome at Jazz modal structures and be baller with that. And then someone can be all Neo-Classical.

Only problem would be when you choose when to play, when NOT to solo, and how to arrange the tracks to suit everyone's needs.

I think there should be divisions of certain people maybe...

Who knows. Like 3 peeps each on a track so it's not OVER cluttered with people.

There could be one awesome super collaboration track with 20 peeps.

I just feel it'd make it easier to do the tracks and keep everything organised.

  2. hmm... You know what?

We should all find images of BoF characters and have "custom" signatures. They don't really have to be uber-personalized, just something to use for the project.

Shinny, do you happen to have a BoF logo that has a transparent background?

    This is the correct statement.

I'm all for a rad one with Rand or Katt on it. Kinda like the Wild Arms project.

But yeah. I have the arrangement and vocal tune sorted.

Just sitting on lyrics and making adjustments and such.

  3. Potentially... I may,

From the angle I'm taking I might just need some female vocals.

    Who knows.

Personally, I'm playing through the game again to try and "capture" the feel of the track.

None of the "I think the scene was a sad one" bull crap.

I need the pure feel of the scene as if I had never seen it before.

For that fact alone... the track is taking a little while.

  4. Hey, Nearly perfectly finished my first draft.

I was wondering if you're still doing this.

Nothing's happening in the thread and you haven't even updated the first page.

I just need to record the guitar solo and get a group of people to record shouting "FIGHT" into a mic like a gang.

Yeah... It's coming out well though.

  5. Hey Sky Rider!

Listening in and I must say

    HUGE IMPROVEMENT!

Sounds great. The snare drum was perfect and then the mix just stayed that way.

The transition was perfect also! Only thing I can say is that you should probably work on divvying up the source a bit.

Otherwise the panel will think it's a straight cover of something. Stupid I know but I slide away from that with vocals. Haha

Also, I've signed up for a few more projects as well so my WIPS/mixes will be a little bit more delayed.

But they'll probably be more clean and organised.

Yeah. A step back now, for two steps forward later.

  6. I'm down for guitar and vocals if anyone wants to collab or anything.

I play rock and acoustic guitar... so there's no worries with that.

As for my track, sitting on the lyrics for a few weeks.

I need to make sure I don't put out something I'm not proud of.

Musically... it's arranged to pretty much the final arrangement.

    Yeah, that's me chimin' in.

SIGN UP GUYS. CHILL WITH THE BROS.

  7. My main problems are: (Don't think I'm being a terrible person)

    1) The Production Values (Usually covered in the final)

    2) The drums seem a little random in places.

I feel as if Timpani may get a better feel on top of the ethnic drums you seem to be using.

    3) Arrangement wise, the first minute is great ('Cept for the drums no offence)...

at about 1:35 things get a bit awkward.

That may be a spot needing of some tidying up. Then again at 2:00 it transitions a bit awkward... but after that until 3:10 it's really shining like a star.

At 3:10 it sorta trails off... the keys mustn't fit well. At 3:30 it picks back up.

At 4:00 I really think the piano's sharp tone fit well... with the sound of birds and all.

Everything from 4:00 is perfect... the ending however was a bit abrupt, which is fine... but I don't feel it fit. Who knows, maybe with some heavy delay it'll sound like a masterpiece.

The main things that comes to mind to tidy this up are: Better/Less violent drums. The snare kills the feel. The 3:00 mark to 3:30-ish is a little bit bad in the pitch environment.

It needs to be fixed up... perhaps you could change up the source a bit.

In the end, remember It's just my opinion. Don't kill me. Haha

Glad you enjoy mine. I'll get something better done later on. The vocals would be the only problem to sort out... also... slowing it down is probably a bad idea considering it's already pushing 7 minutes. Haha

    Tuberz out.

  8. Hey, I'm Tuberz McGee. Feel free to call me Tuberz or Tubers.

It's a reference to other forums I've been a part of.

I'm hoping to be a remixer and I'm going to slowly lurk around here a bit more before posting heavily.

I need to learn the customs and how frequently I should make Schala remix jokes.

    Yeah.

I'm 16, I live in New Zealand. I've been playing guitar for 8 years. I've been singing for even longer in choirs and rock bands all the same. I've taught myself how to play an average amount of piano/keyboard. I can read music, not just tab.

I also play some more unorthodox instruments like the Mandolin and Shamisen.

My favourite mix is a tie between "The Rose General" INB4 VOCAL HATE, Natio Obu (Br00tl) (I love the Touhou series), A foray into the Eastern Horizons (I love eastern instruments), Wanderer on the Offensive (Yes, I love me some metal as well), Oil Ocean WT-40 mix (Not sure why I love this one... I just do), The Path To Glory (Sixto IS my favourite mixer), Lunatic Moon (Sixto AND Zircon... I'm sold).

Truly, I can't name all my favourites... but I hope this gives a good analysis of my musical tastes.

    Also Level 99.

Anything by him. He is damn sexy.

  9. Hey, after listening over my WIP several times I've begun the recording of a second WIP to improve on the first thousandfold. I'm hoping to get it to you at some point in the next few weeks, best I can do with my busy schedule.

I've since then acquired a new guitar, this will certainly deliver results.

I'll get you my second WIP in the next few weeks. Here's hoping everything's going well on your side of the project also.
