Cool, guys. I hope the tracks live up to your expectation of them.
If they're as good as Castle Crescendo, Serenity's Wake, or Malevolent Mansion, I'll be happy.

I think the links on the starting post should be updated. Many of the links lead to sites that are obsolete because of age, or they no longer exist. This would benefit everyone, especially novices such as myself. Just a suggestion.

A very nice mix, I'm liking the ambient feel. My main problem though is the bass. It's distracting and sometimes begins to drown out the other instruments. I would suggest lowering its volume or bringing up the low end, or perhaps both. Good start.

This is a really catchy tune, I enjoyed this quite a bit. I like the intro a lot, it hooked me right away. The guitar fits well, and the piano was a nice touch. Nothing jumped out at me that I can complain about. I wish I could give more advice on where to take this next. I don't have much experience yet, but I'm learning.

An intense mix, but I suppose that's the point. The intro is way too noisy for my liking, it's like being hit with a wall of sound. I like your work, but it just seems too loud to me. Maybe it's just the style. I don't have much experience yet, so take my criticism for what it is, just an opinion.

Wow, this is damn good so far. I wish I had something more constructive to say, but I really have no complaints. Maybe it's my minimal experience.

I really dig this one, I like the heavy 80's influence. A good listen.

Awesome track guys! I really enjoyed the orchestral to rock transition. The guitar work is done well.
-
Wow, this is one sexy remix. Amazing piano work, I loved everything about it.

Didn't they already do this in Super Paper Mario?
Yes, but I still think the picture is neat.

There is a part in the middle when the violin and oboe play the same part, and comes out sounding like a synth trumpet to me. It's something I want to fix.
I thought I heard a trumpet somewhere. I'm a newb when it comes to actually making music, I hope someone with more experience can give you some tips.
-
I enjoyed this, but I don't think you should use both a flute and a trumpet (at least I think it's a trumpet). The high end of this track is a bit too crowed. You could also benefit from some more humanization (i.e. making it sound more human), it sounds too mechanical. You're off to a good start, keep working at it. I look forward to hearing the finished version.

The chickens are hilarious, great stuff! I would love to hear a version of this song without the chickens. The acoustic guitar sounds amazing.

I'm liking this, good work. I agree with Ectogemia, the silence bothers me. I feel like it breaks the momentum of the song. A minor complaint in a well done track. I've listened to a bunch of your songs, I really hope you become a posted remixer soon. Good luck!

I don't think so, but I could be wrong. Here's the url: http://imgur.com/YbpBj

Daft Punk is good, that guitar cover is nice. The 8-Bit one is cool too.

The Police, I posted one of their more iconic songs. I like most of their stuff, particularly Fall Out, Walking on the Moon, and When the World is Running Down.

Heh, that's what I was planning on doing too (I've even put off busting out the '64 and replaying the game for the time being just for that case).
My sister currently has my N64, so I'll be playing it on my Wii. A good plan indeed.
but the artist list in particular is what's *really* getting me pumped for the album's release. I'm especially eager to see Sole Signal's take on Cave DungeonDefinitely, Sole Signal's take should be awesome. I'm looking forward to hearing what Fishy and Willrock come up with, and of course everyone else involved!

I'm adding this to my list of most wanted albums. When it's released, the first thing I'll do is play Mario 64 with the album playing.

I've always felt Final Fantasy 9 is the most emotional game in the series, as well as its soundtrack. So it's fitting that this song leaves such an impact. It's also refreshing to hear real instruments played by real person. Kate's voice is one of the most beautiful I've ever heard. Not flattery, simply a statement of fact. Excellent work.

Nice take on the Song of Storms. I have a few comments, keep in mind that I'm not literate in the technical aspects of music, but I hope my comments help.
1. The kicks are annoying and very distracting, too punchy and harsh. I would choose a different kick sample.
2. The bass that plays during the main melody from 0:34 and 1:44, and again at the end, is too intense and detracts from the lead instruments. Maybe bring up the low end a bit.
I like the direction you're heading in though, I'd say you're off to a good start.

I'm so excited for this album, I expect it will be amazing. DKC3's music is far too under-remixed, it's great to see it getting the coverage it deserves. I'm sad to hear that we have to wait until 2012, but the longer it takes, the more the awesomeness factor increases. Despite the long wait, the fans are still sticking with everyone involved.

I can't really add much advice to what was already given. The main issue for me is that the higher synth from the beginning until about 1:09, and again at 2:04 until the end, is really overwhelming, that one note is held for too long. That's all I can focus on. Still though, I enjoy the concept, and it's definitely a good start. Keep at it.

Absolutely incredible, by far one of my favorite mixes on the site. This is nearly ten years old, but still holds up even to the most recent remixes here. If you don't download this, you should not be on OC Remix.

I am a big fan of this. Just the right balance of intensity and laid back chillness.
