  1. Wow, this is so good. Each part very well mixed. I want to know the secrets.
  2. Wow, did not even think it'd already be covered. Thanks!
  3. Would love suggestions for tunes I can sneak in at my wedding reception this weekend. Think mild, soft, background music. Acoustic covers are a safe best. Small orchestration is ok. Big orchestrated sounds won't fly. Percussion-less jazz remixes might be ok. Suggest away! PS: Kirby's Dream Land 'Gliding on a Silver Lining,' by Level 99 is a perfect example! http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR02439/
  4. Just wanted to say, I think these are some great source ideas. Will definitely keep them in mind.
  5. Hello. I am Midioker, an electronic music producer from Canada (Since 1995, under various pseudonyms). I discovered OCRemix in 2002, but am a new member to these forums. I have not contributed to OCR in the past. However, I was recently inspired to produce 2 works that I thought might work in the realm of OCR. I decided to share one of them here on the OCR forums, primarily because I am a very impatient man. This is my remix of 'Dawn' from Einhander, originally composed by Kenichiro Fukui. As you can hear, it's in a techno style with mild trance influences. Please enjoy. Source: Remix: Einhander - Dawn (Midioker remix)

  7. What are some original tracks you like?
  8. Good concept. A couple of things to improve: The low-end levels run just a little too hot in some sections, like from 1:14 to 1:20, and 4:25 to 4:36. Pull back the low-end just enough to lose the degradation. I listened to 'My Heart Will Go On' as well. It has the same problem of running the low end too hot. It just slams out the rest of the mix every time the big drums hit. Another issue that jumped out at me; It sounds like your singer needs to be more emotionally connected to the arrangement. She's technically decent, and has a sweet timbre, but she definitely needs to put more fire into it. The arrangement has tension and immediacy. She sounds like she's mostly just floating over it. Tell her to put more gusto into it. More fire. More spirit.
