  1. This is really good stuff. You hit the mood of those old games with a crisp modern sound.
  2. I wanted to share some new orchestral/choral music inspired by the Elder Scrolls series. I love the games and have always been struck by the incredible music and wanted to create something that paid tribute to it while also being new. The first three of four movements are available here: https://atrinassa.bandcamp.com/album/winter-music The fourth is on the way!
  3. I got bored sitting around waiting for a sequel to Mankind Divided, so I put together a little trailer/intro bit of music for a speculative sequel. You’ll hear in it the Icarus and Home themes from Deus Ex Human Revolution. Check it out:
  4. This is a labor of love. With each track I try to capture some of what I perceived to be the intent of the original tracks. From the militaristic-bureaucratic bustle of UNATCO, to the windy quiet of Liberty Island, to the blast of chopping wind as a helicopter takes JC to his destination. The goal is to stay as true to the original as possible, but with some modern flair where technology is more capable now. Long way to go, but some of the tracks so far: UNATCO Theme: https://soundcloud.com/atrin-assa/unatco-orchestral-prominent-root?in=atrin-assa/sets/deus-ex-definitive-orchestral Liberty Island Ambience: https://soundcloud.com/atrin-assa/liberty-island-definitive-orchestral?in=atrin-assa/sets/deus-ex-definitive-orchestral Battery Park Chopper Ride: https://soundcloud.com/atrin-assa/battery-park-chopper-ride?in=atrin-assa/sets/deus-ex-definitive-orchestral
  5. http://atrinassa.bandcamp.com/album/borealis Three pieces inspired by the winter time outside my window. Best enjoyed looking out a window at a frozen world outside.
  6. https://soundcloud.com/atrin-assa/borealis This is a short piece (1:41) I wrote while watching twilight during a chilly evening. It's an interesting time of day, and it doesn't last very long, just when you notice it, it gets completely dark.
  7. https://soundcloud.com/atrin-assa/sets/deus-ex-human-revolution-hypothetical-sequel Well here it is, about 29 minutes of music inspired by the Deus Ex franchise. I've also included a couple of bonus tracks to give you a little look at my writing process. These are either: early piano sketches and skeletons of the final music, or "scraps," music that I wrote for the project but decided to scrap. And with that, I call this two year side project done.
  8. "Finale" This is the last part of my "Hypothetical Human Revolution Sequel" project. The goal was to create some original Deus Ex music, drawing from both Alexander Brandon and Michael McCann's musical languages. And this track certainly reaches a little farther back to the original Deus Ex. As always, I'd love to hear your feedback.
  9. "The Ghost of White Helix" Part of my "Hypothetical Human Revolution Sequel" project. The goal was to create some original Deus Ex music, drawing from both Alexander Brandon and Michael McCann's musical languages. I'd love to hear your feedback.
