  1. I enjoyed it. It was a little ditty that got its point across. I do like the beginning because it utilizes that lonely Metroid feeling. Then it skips into something where Samus would roll up in a ball and drop some bombs all crazy-like. So it's an interesting listen.

My gripe would be the drum part at 1:23. It seems to skip a little, and not in a typical break fashion, but maybe that's just me. And the ending was a little bit abrupt and should've either ended on one of those distorted bass hits, or with a more gradual fade out.

But all in all a decent piece.

  2. A lot of wip's I hear for this always sound so much like the midi or just a re-arrangement with no emotion. But this one is the total opposite and kick-ass. I like the way it starts, and I was almost expecting it to go into a symphonic version... but then, wait... I heard drums that sounded like the colloseum music in Symphony of the Night. I didn't think it was gonna go in that direction, but it was cool anyways even if unintentional. What's good about this is that it feels very full, whereas a lot of mixes sound somewhat empty. And the variation is really good.

Definite keeper, Digimatic. Keep it up.

  3. Wow, I had always pictured this song with lyrics. Leave it to Starla to make that dream come true. Very instrumental and could easily be a tear-jerker if one was in the right mood. The whole thing is just awesome.

And people keep saying things about her voice... well, I thought it was pretty good, although maybe it could use some chorus? I don't know, I don't have any gripes, which is unusual.

  4. I thought this was very interesting, and I like the way it started out, but when it busted into that part at 1:25 or so, it didn't have the same effect on me. It was almost like it shifted into something much more traditional, which isn't a bad thing.

At 1:40, it seemed to have a weird transition... I don't know if this was a problem with the mp3 or player I used, but it almost sounded like a loop was pasted after another loop.

And the ending, while kind of different, just didn't strike me the right way. Perhaps if it slowed in tempo or diminished naturally rather than fading as it did, I might've liked it better.

Overall, a decent piece, despite some of my opinionated suggestions.

  5. I like its different quality. It kinda reminded me of his Blaster Master remix in a way. I like that kinda stuff sometimes though. My only real gripe would be as I noted in the WIP forum (even though at that moment it was already submitted and not even a WIP anymore) that fade out was just kind of abrupt and could've probably either been extended more, or just ended on a note instead of any fade at all. Ah well.

  6. I think you have this confused with FlashMan's theme. Quickman's level was the one with all the super-annoying yellow lasers which killed you in one hit.

Umm... were you talking to me? I said after coming through the quick maze (the place with all the lasers, which were orange btw) you come upon some of those mech guys. I know my Mega Man 2 well.
