  1. Hmm not off the top of my head. I do have a tip about those kindsa bells though. Definately try notes in a lot of ranges -- tubular bells have a very limited range in which they actually sound cool. Too low and they don't have enough punch and too high and they just sound cheapo. I've run across tubular bell sounds where I tried them out and dismissed them as being crappy only to realize later that they WERE good, but only for about an octave. Also, you're also probably going to have to add some chorus and reverb or delay to get the sound you're looking for, even if it's a good sound font. Fray.
  2. I've had this mix for a while now, and it's only grown on me. In fact, it's really become one of my all-time favorites. I love the distorted percussion, the just-grating-enough-to-be-interesting pitch bended note in the intro... If I ever save the world, I want this track to be playing
  3. I wasn't too impressed by this mix until I hit the ultra-delicious electric piano (is it a wurlitzer?) sound around 0:50. Everything was uphill from there too But my thoughts return to the EP... it just sounds so warm and gorgeous. The record/tape noise is a really nice, creative addition to it too. I thought the violin sounded really good actually. It's got a little cheez to the sound, but that's appropriate for this kind of style... Besides, it's hard to get violins to sound good. Anyway, this is really wonderful. I thought SoR and SoR 2 were some of the best games of the genre, and musically some of the best games ever. I guess it's just a matter of taste. Anyway, this is really great. Thanks Gecko. Fray.
  4. This... is awesome. I don't really have much to say that people haven't already said, but I'm blown away by this one. Thanks for a great mix, Starblaze. I'm off to download all your other stuff Fray
  5. I liked this remix a lot to start out with, but it's grown on me and moved up into the "totally awesome" category. It's really relaxing and flowing, but wihtout being boring in the least. I really like the drum work in this piece. My only gripe (very small one) is that I think the clock ticking goes on for a little too long. It's a really nice effect, but I thought it got a little tiresome after about 30 seconds. I didn't "hear" any wrong notes in the piano part. Perhaps I wasn't paying close enough attention or something, but I think the piano is executed really, really well. Anyway, really good job, Mr. Chronosis. I hope you'll keep making beautiful music like this. Fray.
  6. This is just awesome. Congratulations on a great mix, and nice job on picking good source material from a game I've never even heard of My only slight gripe is that I coulda used a little more bass. Like on the kick drum and the bass line. Something to make my speakers thump a little, y'know? Anyway, this is wonderful work. Thanks for sharing it. Fray.
