  1. A big soundtrack doesn't really means a BIG project. There could be only some tracks remixed. Its a tribute after all, and it could be a tribute to the best of S&K.

but anyways, I understand you've had enough of this for now heh, but this kinda things are always fun and keeps me busy (And with pressure to actually FINISH the stuff). And S&K soundtrack is pretty tight stuff too. I think that with the experience you've obtained from the long process, your next project will be much more organized and constant.

  2. Congratulations, but god, you had to include analoq's IMC12 track? BLEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

    HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

    HHHHHHHHHH

    well, to be fair..

    THE SONG KICKS ASS!!

Yeah. Just be quiet and play COHNON TRIGGAR again, Zeal.

yep, but thats not exactly the imc12 version, its improved a lot.

I can't get enough of oil spill dammit. I've been listening to some of the songs for the entire day, somebody take this drug away from me!

  3. Glad you liked my mix NutS - yours is rocking too :D

My list of favs is pretty similar to yours, only I loved all three of Analoqs mixes, and I thought a few other tracks were pretty awesome too. In-fact, all the tracks are a pretty awesome quality - though there are some small things with a few of them, like Icy Guy's mix is great, but needs a slightly faster tempo IMO, and Snyderman's almost seems too fast - still awesome tracks though.

    Great work all around guys!

    ~Hadyn

yeah I enjoy your track quite a bunch, and all those tracks I mentioned too. I love the mixing of squarewave sounds that sound so old school with more professional sounding stuff, kinda like what Doragon does. I must say that, although I think that the quality is not too high as KiC, this mixes are pure fun, and thats what makes me want to listen to them again :)

  4. heh, I downloaded the torrent and I must say I'm glad, because its better than what I expected.

My personal favorites (in no particular order):

    Snyderman - Chemical Reaction

    Sadorf - aquatic project

Jayson Litrio - Hill Top Heaven

    Analoq - Oil Spill

    Analoq - Next My generation

Hadyn - Travelling Through a Dream

    Blak Omen - SuperSonic Ska

Jonathon Striker - Casino Jazz Club

Richter - Radio Reluts (LMAO that was helluva fun!)

I liked how there was a good mixture of diferent genres, although I think that the jazzy and funky songs prevailed. hell, even my song has some touches of jazz. Anyways, this was nice. And again , Nice Work.

  5. Very nice. Excellent choice of sounds too. It may not be as fast and hardcore as Sprinting Riffs, but it's a lot less repetive and very atmospheric. But this sounds more like house to me than trance. Still great though.

    The ReMixer writes:

"So yeah as Usual from me' date=' I made a Trance Remix of this tune. Only that this time is not too much of a synth mesh. It has some touches of house and ethnic, with some parts that concentrate on the use of melodies using pianos, flutes, and some other stuff.[/quote']

So yeah, this is more house than most of the stuff I do, but not much like club house, it leans more toward hard trance.

  6. thanks, I just wanted to add some things.

-For those who got the Vgmix version and liked it, get this one. Its been improved a lot over the old version.

-At last! I'm pretty happy about this because since I started remixing 5 years ago, my wish was to get a ninja gaiden and a megaman song in ocr, and well, only the megaman remix is left :D

-Introduction to heaven is getting a major makeover. Stay tuned.

-Thanks to sadorf for the help with this mix ^_^

  7. I am very sorry and I want to express my apologies to Darkesword and the team for not being able to offer my entry for this project. I tried different approaches to remixing it, and I think darkesword got some of that, but they weren't good or enough for this project. Now I think I've given up at it. Unless a friend of mine that I already contacted wants to help me with it on a collab, I think I could be counted out from the project (If I'm not out already, I haven't checked the thread for a good while).

So yeah sorry again, there's still a possibility I could make something but I don't want to give any expectations. Good luck to Darkesword and the team.

  8. Good Trance would be Sasha, some Oakenfold, and Underworld, but your right I really don't like Hard Trance. However, it said to review and If just giving you my take on it. Also, to defend my electronia knowledge, or whatever you want to call it, if you really want me to name off all the artists I owe I would be glad to. The name's would go well over 50. To name a few: Aphex Twin, Orbital, The Orb, Meat Beat Manifesto, Sasha, Gus gus, Naomi, Fragile State, u-Ziq, DJ Shadow, Juno Reactor, Depeche Mode, Massive Attack, Spicelab, Roni Size, The Chemical Brothers, Crystal Method, AK1200, The Prodigy, Underworld, etc...

I really could keep going, trust me I know my stuff.

Also, I'm interested... what is Techno? Cause I guess I only know electronica. What are some artists that are considered Techno?

lmao... from those names I can only choose a few as trance. crystal method? chemical brothers? the prodigy? depeche mode? Meat Beat Manifesto? DJ SHADOW? Also I must admit that Paul Oakenfold would be good trance (In fact I'm going to his concert soon in my country) but come on, from those artists you mentioned there's a big range of genres that don't include trance. Big beat, breakbeat, Trip Hop, dnb.. hell they aren't even techno. So what makes you think you could say what is good trance or good techno?

meh, I'm not gonna even bother anymore.

  9. I don't mean to be harsh, but this song sucks!

It is the most boring, repetitive, trash I've ever listened to. Does the creator of this track even listen to techno, cause I would say no. I myself have amassed a huge collection and I can tell that this song just plain sucks. The production is top notch, but the song itself lacks soul. You should hop over to VGmix 2 or whatever and listen to Gecko Yamori's "Mellow Tempest" or "Work It", now thats some good techno. Or pick up some Aphex Twin, whatever.

Please though, if you don't know anything about techno then please don't make it.

erhmm well I don't really listen to techno. For every electronica ignorant, everything that has somehow a 4 on the floor beat and sawy synths is techno, however, the genre I listen to (and mix in) is Trance.

I Don't know whats your huge collection of techno, but it sounds to me like you're just starting to listen to electronica. Trance has so many variations that I can't name them all. Infected mushrooms, Dj Tiesto, System F, Ferry Corsten, Carl Cox, Cosmic Gate, Those and many more are the type of electronica I listen to. I'm sure they won't ring a bell to you anyways.

For this mix, I didn't tought "hey lets mix this in melodic trance" or "I'm gonna make a friggin amazing Athem trance song out of this". I don't like to stick to genres, I just let my style flow with the mix. I don't know why this guy is so pissed off that this song doesn't sounds like techno when in the first place it wasn't intended to. I must agree in that gecko yamori is a good mixer, but "techno" is not his main genre. I suggest you to listen to people like SupergreenX, bLiNd, Prophecy or Thomas Nelson, those are consistent remixers of the genre, although, their genre is Trance, not techno.

So yeah, I don't mind if someone doesn't likes the song, but saying that it just plain sucks based on the fact that you have amassed a huge techno collection... I don't think its right (considering the fact that the song isn't techno). Also, saying its repetitive?!? lol this has more variation than the 80% of the trance songs. Start looking for some Trance artists, and then come back and give an opinion that actually has a base.

    (and apex twin techno? wtf?)

  10. as for my WIP I think I showed you something not too long ago darkesword, yeah it was crappy and I'm starting over again but I think it shows that I'm still interested in the project. Right now I'm not having spare time to sit on my pc and mix something but hopefully I'll come up with something soon.

  11. I'm glad to see that at last Nixdorux decided to show his skills to the people of Ocremix. I've been a fan of his work since I heard "Zelda is In Love" at vgmix, and believe me people, he has much more outstanding songs in his repertory, although I must say that this is his most experimental piece. As as I said before in vgmix, great work nixdorux.

People, expect much more amazing work from this guy.

  12. Hey, I'm here just to say that I've been working on my song.

I'll be uploading a wip tonight or tomorrow, there was a hurricane here yesterday and internet is kinda choppy today.

Since I'm remixing "The Great Ace" I'm trying to give it an epic feeling, a very powerfull remix.

I'll post the link later. Oh and I'm ok with "The Adventurers"
