For me it's iTunes for music, and K-Lite codec pack with Media Player Classic for video. I haven't found anything it can't run. I even got it to run corrupt files. Not well, but they would at least start!

Oh my god, the BLOOM! Nice though.

Grattis på födelsedagen, Mattias!
Seriously, it's all going down hill now. You leave the blissful teens, and embark on a journey that's pretty much the same, except more responsibility. But also, booze!
Congrats, you little devil you.

Alright, done some tweaking, final inks, rain effects, now I need to get a better background (or maybe a variant color), do some lighting effects, and well, you guys take a look and see what you like...
Don't worry about the website, I'm putting it together.
If you have more rainy/moody pictures I can try and incorporate them though. I'm going to try some stuff with this one.

I wonder if you'll still be around when we'll finally need it...
What is that supposed to mean?
-
Still need a website? I could sketch something up, probably. I'll PM you when I have something.

The company I work at are giving me a 360 premium (and extra wireless controller and 3 games
) as a christmas present, so I might finally be able to check this game out soon. Woohoo!
-
Well, I think how it happened was... you gave me the sketch, i made a background/text, then i sent friendlyHunter the psd, and he made some cool effects like translucent text and some other stuff. But it's all good.
But! These tracks be nice.
I added you to the credits anyway.
Also, another mirror is up. Harrass it!

There's something oddly sinister about this statement. Like...
Enjoy life.
While you still can!
muahahahahahahahahahhahaha
Shhh! Don't spoil it! I have a... honeymoon surprise, for them.
-
I've added three more mirrors now, so we can all stop using up all of DarkeSwords bandwidth.
I've been listening to all the songs for a while, and I must say I can't grow tired of them. They are all really great, and I'm glad I got to atleast help out on this project.
Great job everyone!
-
Congratulations! Enjoy life.

This song is truly incredible. I've been listening to it many times over, and it really just sweeps me off my feet every time. I've been looking for something like this for my remake of the intro from Megaman 2 (I know it's not the right song for it, but the blue bomber awesomeness just fits it perfectly), so maybe I should just get cracking on that...
Great work all of you!

A survey has been done in Sweden, and the results are pretty surprising.
http://www.sk-gaming.com/content/20136-Gaming_in_Sweden_bigger_than_football_and_hockey
Gaming bigger than football and hockey combined39% of the population has played computer games this year. The figures for football are 24% and for hockey 3%. 17% of the ones who play computer games do it regularly, compared to 5% for football and 1% for hockey. This means that computer gaming is almost three times as big as football and hockey combined.
Gamers participate more in physical activity
74% of the gamers participate in physical activity compared to 61% of the population as whole.
Gaming is social
54% of the gamers play together with friends while in the age group 16-29 as many as 69% do. 12% of the gamers have gotten new friends thanks to their hobby. That means that over 300 000 Swedes over 15 have widened their social network through computer games.
Who said that gamers were lazy, lightshy nerds?

No you don't, you want to be me!
It was like 300kr
Lucky you, last time I battled for it (complete in mint condition with poster and everything) it ended at 1100 kr.

it has a pretty similar weapon store structure as well
<3<3<3<3<3 I'm so going to get this for my PSP, if I can. Thanks for the link!
Also...
Vib Ribbon arrived in the mail todayI hate you.

Whoever said Tyrian get my love, and also Raptor has always been one of my favorite games. I only had the shareware demo as a kid, but I played the shit out of it.
EDIT: I just remembered that I got a CD-ROM when I was a kid, which was called simply Shoot-Em-Ups, and was filled with about 50 games or so, for DOS (or sometimes Win 3.1), that I played over and over again. It should still be at my parents house... I have to look for it next time I'm there.

I believe that DarkeSword will never again write in this thread. Unless he'd like to prove me wrong... soon.

This is a great tragedy, and all my sympathy goes out to Pyke's family and friends, but this just made me cringe:
...tips on strategy, characters and plots for the Nintendo game, Advanced Wars. The game pits armies of cartoon characters against each other.Easy mistake to make, but it still bugs me when press does that.
Music and sound effects needed for flash game
in General Discussion
Posted
Hey there,
Me and a friend of mine are working on a flash game, and we are in dire need of background music and sound effects. The game itself is kind of a sneaking/action/puzzle game, so that's pretty much the kind of music we need.
We might also be able to license this game, and if we do, the composer will get a piece of the cake as well. If we don't get anything though, then neither do you.
So, if you feel you're up to it, then PM me and maybe link to something you've made before, or just talk about what you think you could do for us. I'll tell you more about the game in my reply.
I hope to hear from some of you!
