  1. Guess what?

He probably doesn't care what you want.

You're absolutely right, he *doesn't* care what I or anyone wants in the game. He's one of those guys who thinks "Games are art, maaaaaaaan." That's why Killer 7 was so tedious at times. "Master." -3 seconds- "We're in a tight spot!" -5 seconds- "Tighter than tight, even!" Yeah, that's real cool. Characters who use catch phrases. Oooh, you're different you rebel you.

But Killer 7 was good because it was unique in how it played, had a great story that was backed up by great animated sequences and decent voice acting. NMH doesn't look like there's much at all unique about it. It looks incredibly generic. Even the Wiimote actions for the wrestling moves are being used in games like the Godfather port. This seems like another GTA clone with a director who promises "This game will be more violent than Manhunt 2!"

Yeah, will it? Focus on the game instead of trying to be to make something artistic, extremely violent or intentionally stupid. Everyone is aware he's capable of making good, "different" games, but this isn't Killer 7. It's something new and unproven and right now, it just doesn't look all that impressive.

And bad voice acting, even if intentional, is stupid. It's not cool or funny, it's an excuse to not spend the cash to hire professionals.

  2. I think the graphics look fine. The voice acting, on the other hand, sounds exactly like it did in the original trailer, which is a horrible thing.

Is it *really* that hard to hire semi-professional voice actors these days? Hell, Killer 7 had some decent ones.

  3. Personally, I would consider Smooth Moves a killer app for the Wii. I understand why probably *everyone* in this thread will disagree, but I've played it more than any other game this year and the multiplayer never gets old.

Both the Wii and PS3 are too new to pass judgement on though, especially with stuff like Smash Bros. Brawl and MGS4 (provided it stays exclusive) on the horizon.

  4. I don't see how that relates to an option in a fighter some people may never use. Neither Microsoft or Sega should be criticized if they include it, it wouldn't hurt the quality of the game or affect it's other modes at all.

  5. Now that reminds me how many hours I pump into Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution lately. And I don't even LIKE fighting games.

I really hope the "VF5 for 360" rumors are true. Because it'll likely be at least a few years until I have enough change to get a PS3.

    Rumor...huh.

  6. I hardly even noticed there were any upgrades.

As much as I'm liking the demo, it seems you can simply spam guard towers and the CPU will continually throw units at them without thinking. It gets pretty easy after that...

    Can't wait for multiplayer.

  7. An easter egg has been found. In the skirmish menu' date=' open the faction bar, highlight Nod, hold down N and click. Voila, you can now play as Nod. The same works procedure works if you want to play against GDI, just hold down G.[/quote']

S seems to work for Scrin, too. Wonder if this is an easter egg or a bug.

Edit: Well, Scrin works for about two seconds. Then the game realizes you have no units or buildings and you lose. Definetly seems like a bug to me.

  8. The single player really wasn't a game. The main focus of Hunters was online multiplayer, and that got messed up because of the inability to patch the game.

Everyone started disconnecting the second things turned sour or they'd pick Trace and constantly run after getting one kill. Not to mention the leaderboards were messed up from people playing in friend games...

But it's still a good game if everyone plays right. I'll defend it anytime someone knocks it.
