  1. Hoooly shit. We really need more bombastic, wall-of-sound badass remixes like this. This blew me away. Good work, man.
  2. I'd just like to say that, even several months after the fact, this remix remains one of the few in recent memory to have that certain explosive, energetic, and (ironically enough) emotional feel to it that so many new remixes are missing these days. So few remixes rarely have this much heart and soul poured into a mix, and I sorely wish more remixers went to greater lengths to make their final product that much greater. (This is why I dislike ambient tracks, although I understand that a good deal of work goes into them as well.) Any idiot can throw together a drum loop and a few synths together and call it a remix, but it takes a true passion and love for the art to truly do the songs justice. I don't think I have anything else to say that hasn't already been said (I only skimmed up to page four and skipped the rest) besides the obvious "10/10 A++++ would obsessively listen to again." So there you go.
  3. I very rarely use this phrase, but hot damn. There's a definite energetic feel to it, which it always good, and I like how things keep getting switched up (instruments, key, etc). Maybe it's just because I don't listen to a lot of techno, but this is very reminiscent of McVaffe's IceCapped mix, which isn't a bad thing. Quite a good thing, in fact. For a remix this long, it managed to keep my attention throughout the entire thing. Nice work. A++++ would download and rave about again.
  4. Awesome. I'm always a fan of tunes that break cliches, and that's pretty much exactly what E-Bison's done here. The entire intro with the clocks is refreshing, not to mention appropriate. The main (and some backup) synths are closer to horns than strings, which is a welcome variation. The bridges with the returning ticking of the clocks and the time-related quotes (and near-subliminal sample of Leene's Bell I missed the first time around) keep the mix interesting throughout, and the ending once again features the hypnotic clocks, signifying that history repeats itself, or something like that. I can't think of anything that E-Bison could have improved upon, so he gets an A in my book.
  5. Most excellent. I can't help but love this track; the peppy-as-hell guitar wins me over every time. All we need now is to see an official release of Funky Bookas
  6. analoq's position on the Scale-O-Awesomeness is officially through the roof. Aquacadence was excellent, Sonik Azure kicked my ass, and this just proves that analoq is no two-trick pony. Excellent work, sir.
  7. The intro actually did its job excellently. With most intros, I find myself bored immediately and waiting for the main chorus. However, this time I was sucked into the intro, and sucked into the song itself; completely immersed and writhing in anticipation for the chrous. And the chorus blew me away. I am a sucker for guitar. I like guitars. K Pras is amazing. Hooray.
  8. Oh. My. God. This is absolutely beautiful. The guitar, the drums, the bass, the synth... I just... wow. I agree with Twilight, this is probably one of the best remixes on here. I'm a sucker for guitar anyway, but this is so much more than the song simply redone on a guitar.... I love it. This and aquacadence have pretty much catapulted analoq to one of my favorite remixers. Keep up the good work, sir.
  9. This is the only remix on OC that I've actually danced to. Great percussion, killer beat, wonderful transitions, excellent sampling job... why can't the rest of aneursym's work be more like this?
  10. Wow, oh wow. I have never played Axelay before, and to say that this music stuck with me is an understatement. Over the past few weeks, I've been humming this almost non-stop, and for me, that's very rare, especially if I had only heard it ONCE before going to school and then coming home six hours later and still knowing almost the entire thing by heart. That's how far this became ingrained into my skull. I can't even begin to rave about how awesome the guitar is in here--on par (and possibly above, at parts) with JAXX and Ailsean, methinks. You completely fooled me on the drums, also. I refuse to believe those are synth. And the strings, the synth, and the organ; I love how they seem to flawlessly combine and become one. What this review boils down to is that it's one of my favorite remixes on the site, and it will now end with my ranting about how Midee should make more. MORE, I say! As they say, 5 stars.
