Haha, it was just a few weeks ago, during magfest, Cyril was telling me about how he had a remix of Dreams of an Absolution that wasn't posted yet, and I was asking him if he knew whether LeeBro from OCR was the same Lee Brotherton. Nice to see it confirmed.
Incidentally, I'm noticing that Lee Brotherton is missing from this remix's "original composer" field, and his artist profile only lists the Remixer role.

I'd prefer the 13-16th to new year's weekend, but I'm also curious why the 6th-9th isn't an option. If there is anything that can be done to make it an option, I'd be willing to pay a more expensive registration if it lowers my plane tickets without impinging on my first week of classes.
Summer would also be nice for similar reasons.

Due to a series of unfortunate events (which are really nobody's fault), I've had to leave MagFest early and crash with a friend in the area until my flight home. Unfortunately, I haven't really had a real chance to hang out with DrumUltima, Nekofrog, Ashamee, Starla, Liontamer, etc. The list is long, these are only the names that came to mind in the minute or two I've spent writing this post.
So I thought I'd make a thread for anyone else who's had to leave early, or just totally missed someone they were planning on seeing, and we can commiserate.

It had nothing to do with them being black women, and everything to do with the Nigerians being the low-tech version of the MNU. Both were willing to go to any lengths to acquire the alien weaponry. The difference in technique was a product of the difference in resources available to the two groups.

It is a great travesty that it took 10 years for a Panzer Dragoon Zwei ReMix to be posted. But I am glad that it has finally happened. This one is of much better quality than I expected, considering that it's a mix of one of my least favorite songs on the soundtrack. Very good debut for this mixer.
Of course, it's way too short, but you can't have everything all at once, can you?

If you plan on coming to the LAN party, and are coming via car, make sure you go through the Reese Road Gate off of 175 (Annapolis Road). YOU HAVE TO GO THROUGH THIS GATE!!
Don't let your GPS's trick you into going on a NSA Employees Only road. THEY WILL DO THAT!!
Also, Cooper Avenue is closed at the moment on Base, so ...[complicated set of directions]... Turn left on Rockenbach Road.
It looks like Rockenbach Rd connects directly with MD-175 Annapolis Road, which would greatly simplify directions. Is part of it NSA only, or otherwise impassable between your place and Annapolis Rd?

So long as it doesn't play like the horrible Genesis Sparkster (which is nothing like the SNES sparkster), I'll be interested.
The screenshots are a little weird though. I don't think I like that art style.

Man, I knew there was somewhere I'd been forgetting to post-PAX post.
Panel was awesome. Nothing I could have thought of to improve it given the 1 hour length limit they put on you.
Handing out stickers to the merch line was unexpectedly fun. And it was great of Dave to buy us all dinner afterwards.
I did come down with the PAX pox, (or H1Nerd1, as the cool kids are calling it), though.
Still, the weekend as a whole was totally worth a few days of sick. I mean, I hadn't realized going in that I was going to get an opportunity to play Diablo 3, starcraft 2, scribblenauts, etc...

I'm also amused that I'm in no photos ever, despite being just off-camera for a whole bunch.

Originally Flying Battery was supposed to come in between, and Knuckles was going to have a different zone order from Sonic, going straight from Carnival Night to Ice Cap.
So the transition originally works like he gets shot thousands of feet into air from a cannon (carnival), onto a giant floating airship (battery).
He jumps off the floating airship, breaking a door off (battery), lands on the door and uses it as a snowboard to get down the mountain (ice cap) nailing 40 to 50 rings on the way. (there's 10 extra rings you can get if you jump in the right place).
The intro sequence was removed from Flying Battery when it was moved to its new position, making FBZ the only zone in all of Sonic 3 & Knuckles that doesn't have an intro with sonic moving. (Angel Island has him running over water, then getting smacked by knuckles, hydrocity has him falling, marble garden has him falling again, carnival night being floated in by tails, ice cap falling onto the snowboard, launch base shot from a pipe, mushroom hill floating in on tails again, sandopolis falling again, lava reef falling again, hidden palace running in from lava reef, sky sanctuary on the transporter beam from hidden palace, and even death egg has him running in from offscreen).
Notably, though, you can still see the door break off of flying battery and fall earthward in Sonic & Knuckles, but then it just disappears when you fall into Sandopolis.
