  1. This is Wesker's theme from Resident Evil 5. It's a very good piece of orchestral music, although most if it isn't incredibly melodic save for that main recurring line (which is incidentally all I was interested in remixing). As such, the remix is in no way full (nor of any particularly high quality), with me only intending on remixing the main melody line and adding the half-composed intro as an afterthought. To be honest, the only reason I'm posting this is to make a start to a body of work here and kinda introduce myself to the community. I don't really intend on touching this remix ever again, so while it's by no means a complete remix, I'm listing it as finished. All done in the fruity loops piano roll interface, all notes picked out by ear. https://dl.dropbox.com/u/14014916/madness.mp3
  2. http://soundcloud.com/fli/tryout-dubstep-mix I messed up on a couple of parts but whatever, its definitely listenable. Enjoy.
  3. Check it out y'all: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BOagvIsrhAY
  4. Hey! Reunion Netlabel is where you find free electronic music, released at a steady pace, with HQ music from many people from this community, but also from the net label/demo scene/music scene in general. Check us out, OK!? http://reuniverse.org (160+ FREE tracks!) -.------------------------------------------------------------ The second (supposedly) single from Platonist's Upcoming album is called "Bonno Soku Bodai". It's been quite quiet from this project lately, with him releasing side-project after side-project. But now he's back in action. Feel it!! Ok, I'm not very comfortable talking about myself in third person, that was weird. Uhm, so my new track is done. I think. If I change it - there might be another version on the album. But who knows? I'm satisfied at the moment, So I'ma release anyway. peace!! http://reunion.sgxmusic.com/169%20-%20Platonist%20-%20Bonno%20Soku%20Bodai.mp3
  5. This marks the first track I have ever decided to post on OCR. I am not huge on remixing but I still make some here and there. Serious criticism is greatly appreciated. I'd rather grow than hear comments on how something is just ok. I hope you enjoy. http://heatflare.bandcamp.com/track/jungle-road-phantasy-star-online
  6. This is my first post EVER. The link below is a bandcamp post of a video game remix of the game Fallout 3 that I released last month. This is a concept album by a group called Crimson Beatstash. All songs are either remakes or sampled remixes of songs from Galaxy News Radio. http://crimsonbeatstash.bandcamp.com Enjoy!! Thanks for listening ladies and gents!!
  7. Yo! This is my version of Akeboshi - Wind, known from the naruto series. Enjoy!
  8. I used a lot of resources to do this. I'm trying to improve as always, so I hope you people enjoy my remix. I used FL Studio to make this. Link: http://www.4shared.com/audio/qPoct0p-/Rusty_Ruin__Hidans_Remix_.html
  9. in the past I've only posted sloppy demos... well here's something that's actually finished, and actually good. uh also I'm terrible at classifying songs into genres... especially my own. I guess it could be a little experimental? the best I can do to describe it to you is tell you that ...it will take you on a magical journey. haha. http://www.box.net/shared/z25nvyry5g it's got live bass. this song has my first ever experimentations with polyrhythms, one that's 3 over 4, and another that's 5 over 7. the "bridge" has sampled didgeridoo (from a cassette of someone my mom new, crazy stuff), as well as lots of other random noises I recorded. the ending fades out and is meant to transition into an acoustic summer song, I just left the the transition in there. ch ch ch check it!
  10. Hello OCR. I am a newbie here and thought I would get my feet wet with this song that I worked on a little bit a go called Mighty Bear Seven. I chose the name because I was playing Earthbound at the time and my favorite enemy in that game would have to be the mighty bear seven. The song doesn't have any relevance to the mother series though. I would appreciate some feedback because I am an amateur songwriter/remixer and any tips or help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Also please tell me if I did something wrong in the posting of this article. I read the rules but this is my first post on a forum in quite some time. Any way I've probably talked to much. Thanks!
  11. Electric Movment Finally finished it ;P ! cut it short, i have no audio interface to work with to reduce audio/pc stress, i am looking in to a m-audio fast track pro tho. Wav + Download http://soundcloud.com/aires/electric-movment MP3 + Download http://tindeck.com/listen/wbzk
  12. A little background. I had some free time one day and cranked this out on Finale back in 2009. I then got Finale 2010 for Christmas and updated the samples a little, tweaking some things here and there. I don't necessarily plan on fixing it up any more, but I figured, while I'm on a forum devoted to music, I could get a little critique on it. This track was to go along with a poorly drawn and crudely animated cutscene to a non-existent game based on a cliche teen/young adult superhero story that's been in the back of my [insert adjective here] mind (no, I don't plan on linking to anything other than the music. I don't want to hurt you. ). Basically, this music takes place when two lead scientists on a top-secret government project are trying to get rid of the only prototype of a device they've been working on before a mad scientist breaks in and steals it. In the end, the military base gets destroyed, but the prototype escapes, leading into the title and main theme at the end. For a breakdown, the majority of the piece is a bunch of different variations of the mad scientist's theme, with the main hero theme appearing in a mysterious tone at the beginning and a quiet tone at the end. My main qualm about it is that it sounds empty to me. I'm sure there are other technical errors as well (considering my lack of any musical theory or orchestration training), so you can be honest. It's just a hobby, so you're not going to crush any of my hopes and dreams or anything like that.
  13. If you couldn't tell by now I'm obsessed with all things Castlevania. This is another GameBoy Advance demo I had done in 2001 using old GBA rules (4 channels PCM/WAV + 4 channels PSG/GameBoy), except I enhanced and lengthened it today. It's oldskool Castlevania-inspired, as in distinct melodies and arpeggio fun. Hope you enjoy it! http://8bc.org/music/mv/Temperance+(GBA+-+%22Castlevania%22+style)/
  14. I literally just finished recording this, wrote it all through the week. http://www.box.net/shared/3bys4z2ibc It's called Fears. The lyrics are mostly a list of things "I am afraid" of. Basically though, I am making fun of myself. I don't know what genre you would call this. Experimental horror folk? lol anyway, let me know what ye think! -evan
  15. A bit busy recently, but I had some time off yesterday and today and just decided to grind. Two things came out of it - a Final Fantasy medley and a Diddy Kong Racing duet/duel thing. First, FF. My remix (or at least arranged medley) The sources: That was a bit of a loosely put-together medley, but I kind of felt that I wanted to do it just to get back into the feel of composing/arranging. It's a sort of orchestra-meets-guitar-meets-electronica (hence the synths and electronic drums, dominant guitar part, and orchestral strings and percussion). Secondly, DKR. My remix (or at least arranged medley) The sources: Both of these are kind of strung together. This one ends in a sort of duel - which is kind of where I got the name from. Establish the themes, then pit them against each other. Thoughts? EQ advice/critism? Overall critism/advice? Thanks, OCR
  16. This is an exclusive beat that Darkseid sent me, and I decided to share it with you people. I really like it because of how relaxing it is. But, I hope you people really like it, and give feedback. I'll also link the other version that was laid over Lupe's song ''Pop, Pop''. Have a good day! Goodnight to Hip Hop http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/380504 Pop, Pop http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/382772 Ferno Inferno0636@gmail.com

  19. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6FJYwnpPsU This is a song I made in tribute to the Joker. Comments/Constructive criticism are appreciated.
  20. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hUKrhOu6e28 The a Remix of a track I made a few years back that gained popularity when the original version was unknowingly featured in the video game "Mass Effect 2" in the lower level of "Club Afterlife" on Omega. I received many, many emails from fans wanting to get a copy of the track since it was unreleased on the ME2 soundtrack after they discovered I wrote it (myself and several other composers were unnamed for musical contributions to the game); Fans discovered my name via metadata after a user extracted Lo Fi Epic from the PC version of ME2 (called the Techno Madness Mix). I decided to rebuild the track from it's original elements and add in additional parts and layers I simply didn't have the technology to add years ago to bring the track back to life and to the fans who have been asking for it for many months. Lyrics "Assuming control of this rave" If you want to download it you can do so here: http://jessejamesallen.bandcamp.com/track/lo-fi-epic-embracing-the-afterlife-mix?permalink

  23. Hey! Reunion Netlabel is where you find free electronic music, released at a steady pace, with HQ music from many people from this community, but also from the net label/demo scene/music scene in general. Check us out, OK!? http://reuniverse.org (160+ FREE tracks!) -.------------------------------------------------------------ Friday Fall-Through Some files seem to hide themselves in the queue for ages. 2 Tracks that HAVE and never SHOULD have we release today. * A really old Psyjuntan track! * Ultraljud's latest submission! Wohoo! I've always felt that Psyjuntan and Ultraljud have been responsible for the most experimental releases on Reunion over the years, with anything from vocal rich dub tracks to pounding edm. So isn't it fitting that both "Chip-Boing" and "Bend" sees the light of day together? - marking the end of a turbulent era in the Reunion Release Queue. Plato Satisfied and Out.
