  1. Ok so this is the official debut of my group The Travelers, a supergroup of some amazing musicians and arrangers (including the likes of Doug Perry, Mklachu, Jordan Chin, Ian Martyn, just to name a few) who play Euro-folk arrangements of game music. I had the pleasure of being able to arrange Kokiri Forest into an Irish Jig style and to feature my awesome group The Travelers. I combine Traditional Irish music with what most would call modern, contemporary Irish styles (kind of like you hear from Mumford and Sons). Anyway, I really would love feedback on the piece from all of your great remixers out there ;).
  2. Legend of Zelda fans in here? Check out the Hip Hop remix to the Deku Tree song from Legend of Zelda, Ocarina of Time! Enjoy! If your interested, I have a bunch of video game music remixes on my youtube page ORIGINAL: MY VERSION:
  3. Hi everyone, this is the work in progress that I've been focusing on mainly for the past month or so. I've taken the palace theme from Zelda II (known more widely as the Hyrule Temple theme from Super Smash Bros Melee) and the Hyrule Castle theme from Link to the Past and created a heavy surf rock remix focusing mainly on the Zelda II palace theme. My biggest concern is the production of the recordings, such as whether I've EQed my instruments in a way that you can hear them all, whether one instrument's volume is too low, etc. Feedback on drums is welcome as well, as this is the first time that I have used a MIDI instrument (in this case, Sennheiser and NI's Drummic'A). Any feedback would be more than welcome. Thank you! Remix: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3oA-7V8SI0mVG1SbXo3Njk5LWM/view?usp=sharing Source materials: Feedback scale PRODUCTION [ ] Too loud [ ] Too quiet [ ] Low-quality samples [ ] Unrealistic sequencing (particularly acoustic instrumentation, e.g. notes use the same velocities, mechanical timing) [ ] Generic/cliche sound choices [ ] Drums have no energy [ ] Overcompressed (pumping/no dynamics) [ ] Mixing is muddy (e.g. too many sounds in bass, middle or treble) PERFORMANCE (live recorded audio/MIDI parts) [ ] Timing not tight enough [ ] Wrong notes, general sloppiness [ ] Poorly recorded [ ] Bad intonation WHAT I LIKE ABOUT THE TRACK [ ] Creative arrangement ideas [ ] Good production quality [ ] Good live performances [ ] Instrument choices [ ] Improvement from previous submission(s) [ ] Source tune choice(s) PERSONAL COMMENTS (positive feedback, specifics on checklist criticisms, any other thoughts) [write here]

  6. A brand new track from our album 'LEGACY SESSIONS: GAME GENERATION 5'! Arrangement by Casey Ormond This time it's a mashup of the 'File Select' themes from the 2 greatest Nintendo 64 games - Super Mario 64 and Zelda: OoT For more 32-bit (generation 5) game music arrangements, recorded live in the studio by some great musicians please check out the album and other vids on the youtube channel! http://legacy-sessions.com Of course all comments / questions are welcome
  7. If anyone can pullit off, I think it's be pretty neat to hear the ending credits in a sort of synth-driven, Reggae-flavored style. I kinda have something that leans a tad towards Linkin Park's earlier stylings, at least with the glitchy audio effects. All in all, I think this would be a fun mix, if anyone manages to give it a shot.
  8. Your favorite jazz-but-sort-of-not-really band YamaYama just finished up the video on "Lost Woods"! Check it out and tell us what you think, and if you dig it, don't forget to subscribe!
  9. Hey Zelda gamers, I just finished "Link Between Worlds" last night (after playing it like crazy for the last week and a half). I will say that the big reveal for Ravio probably made him my favorite character. He was entertaining to begin with, but imagining his design, it's like if Link had an dark-haired, taller brother. Other than that, I really enjoyed the Treacherous Tower. Survival mode challenges are some of my favorite things in video-games, as they are a good test of strategy and skill. What about you guys? What were some of your favorite moments in "Link Between Worlds"?
