As I did before, this is a remix using only sounds made by the original game (and one or two drum samples), except it is a mix of sounds made by many different versions of the game. I used the arcade, Sega Master System, Sega Genesis, and NES. The result feels nostalgic while still being way beyond the capability of what could be done on any one piece of old hardware.

Here is part 1 of my Double Dragon remix. It uses original instruments from the arcade, NES, SNES, Genesis, and both Master System soundtracks. Everything here was generated from the old games. I was going for a nostalgic sound, but "more" than what it was. Enjoy.

This is for the callout. Original post: I focused on the arrangement first, then lyrics and vocals as I'm pretty bad at the latter two. I couldn't really do much with the source since it's just a 15 second loop but that riff is too sweet to ignore. I'm still working on it to add more elements like toms, rides, pads(maybe?) for sure but I'd like to know what you guys thought of it and also I'm taking this opportunity to invite anyone available to sing the vocals. I'm pretty bad, you'll see what I mean. Update 1: Added more elements and tweaked drums to sound more organic.
