  1. Hey y'all! Long time no see. Given the somewhat irregular output I've had recently I wanted to make sure this was kind of a big thing before I posted in GenDisc (If this doesn't count, I throw myself to the mercy of the mods). I've been pretty busy going back to school and getting ready to have a kid here pretty soon, but I wanted to finish a song and make a video before the baby comes. Believe it or not, my (seven month pregnant) wife actually helped out a lot on the video side of things and made the video shoots of the pumpkins possible. Anyway, I wanted to post this here because, to be honest, my mindset while making this song was very similar to how we do ReMixes here; take the original and do an original arrangement of it. I love the Halloween theme and Carpenter's style, both filmically and musically, so without further adieu: And the song, with free download:
  2. Hello people. Wanted to share here one of my work. It isn't supposed to become an OCR thing, but just wanted to share it with you, as i think it's one of my "best" work so far. Even if i'm still a noob with synth and i still have a lot to learn about mixing. But anyway, here it is, any kind of feedbacks, even harsh ones are welcome, as my goal is to keep on improving =)
  3. Hello to all the amazing Ocremix comunity, My name is Carlo Francesco Lopez and i wanna share with you my latest recording. Its a medley of Double Dragon 3 for the NES. Cheers!! lml
  4. I haven't posted to OCR in several years now. I miss arranging! But, I've focused more on honing my teaching/playing/recording craft. I was on the fence about which forum to post this in: It's a full band cover (but with the original vocals), it's non-VGM, and it's from a music-based anime series called K-On! So, if this needs to be deleted or moved, that's cool. I figured someone here might enjoy it!
  5. Hello people, i just made a new thing, a kind of "smooth" guitar version of Floating Away from Kirby Super Star! I originally don't know Kirby music so i took the time to listen to a bunch of them and this one caught my attention. I really liked how relaxing the main melody was. So my idea for the arrangement was to make it even more chill. My main inspiration was "Breath" by Pink Floyd, especially for the drums. This arrangement also features a lot of improvisation (approximately 60% of the song) so i took a lot of freedom here and it's really different from the original. Still hope i managed to keep the global mood!
  6. Every few days in December, I uploaded a Christmas-style remix of a classic video game song to my channel. Now that December is over, I've completed the album and uploaded it as one big video. Most of these are just covers so I'm not planning on submitting any of them (unless you think certain ones could be accepted). I just want to post this here for you guys to enjoy. I had a lot of fun making these and I'd love for you to listen to them and let me know what your favorites are and how I could improve for next year. 7. Hello! I made orchestral cover for The Mad Doctor theme from Mickey's Wild Adventure game. This project was kind of practice thing where i tried different kinds of string combinations and pan techniques. Here is the Cover: Here is the Original:
  8. Here's another one! As the nights are becoming longer and colder we thought to keep you guys warm with a proper shuffle blues riff, this time from the amazing niche SNES gem PLOK! The then very young Tim and Geoff Folin got something amazing out of the limited capabilities of the SNES music chip, something that is as quirky and unique as the whole game. Enjoy and remember! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=feMWBujjQ2M Stefan of REMEMBER CITADEL ( https://www.facebook.com/remembercitadelband )
  9. Hi :)! I finished new cover. It's Underwater theme from Super Mario Bros. I went for the clean guitar and i think it turned out quite okay. Feedback is appreciated! Here is the Cover: Here is the Original:
  10. Hello! I made cover for the Smurfs NES soundtrack. Song is "Flight on a Stork" (Act 05). I wanted to lift up this awesome theme with strings and distortion guitar :D. Feedback is appreciated! Here is the Cover: Here is the Original:

  13. Hi! I finished my new cover. It's End of the Dark from Policenauts game. The soundtrack has awesome 80's 90's feeling and i wanted to bring it out more in this arrangement with my style :D. Feedback is appreciated :). Here is the Cover: Here is the Original:
  14. Hey guys, I recently completed a little arrangement of "Secret of the Forest" from the SNES class Chrono Trigger. This piece gets covered and arranged fairly often, but I decided I wanted to try my hand at it. A lot of the best covers for this piece either tend to be either a full replication of the original instrumentation or a solo piano piece, so I decided to meet somewhere in the middle and approach it as a piano and flute piece. The result is something that I hope is simple, approachable and a little elegant, while still retaining what made the original piece by Yasunori Mitsuda so special. Hope you guys enjoy it as much as we loved working on it. - Daniel.
  15. Hey guys, I've been playing FF9 a lot this week since it was rereleased on PS4. I had forgotten just how fun and memorable the music was from this game. The battle theme is especially fun and I love how it serves as a throwback to all the other battle themes in FF history before 7. I didn't really see that many solo piano arrangements out there, so I decided to write one and play it to some game footage. Hope you enjoy! Have a great weekend everyone!
  16. Hello! I finished new cover for Pokemon - Bicycle Theme. I recorded some strings to spice my lead guitar parts, so the whole arrangement would sound much fuller. Feedback is welcome :)! Here is the cover: Here is the original soundtrack:
  17. Yo! I published my first collaboration cover with Arzie Van Dee :)! It's Mega Man 2 - Dr. Wily's Castle Theme. Our cover has quite a lot improvisation and original touch, which bends the original theme into a new direction. All feedback is welcome and appreciated!! =) Here is the cover: Here is the original soundtrack:
  18. Hello everybody, REMEMBER CITADEL, Germany's only video game music collective band, is about to release its second four track EP. As an appetizer for the full thing we (or me, this time) put together a little music video of its first track, Old Friends, from the awesome Transistor soundtrack. Feel free to check it out, comment, and also leave a like at: https://www.facebook.com/remembercitadelband/
  19. I did a solo electric piano cover of the jazz song "Autumn in New York" originally written by Vernon Duke in 1934. Cover: I couldn't find an original recording (probably because it was in 1934) but here's a couple of renditions by Sinatra and Billie Holiday.
  20. Just another cover of that song from Season 2, Episode 2. This started as sort of a joke for a Rick and Morty-loving roomie and only covered the first half(what was originally in the episode), but I ended up doing the whole thing for both fun and a bit of practice. It's a (mostly) instrumental cover, but I may get an actual vocalist to sing at some point. Feedback/Comments/Critique/Etc appreciated.

It features 12 songs of metal/rock covers of various themes and songs from the original score. This is a FREE, non-profit album and is not affiliated with Warner Bros, New Line Cinema, Reprise Records, Howard Shore, Peter Jackson or anyone else related to the original score of these films. 22. Made this little ReMix about a week ago. I was inspired by Django Reinhardt (I added a couple "yeah"s in there, something he did on his track "Minor Swing", and tried to make it sound a bit more vintage) and a similar ReMix by Adrian Holovaty of the Super Mario Bros. 2 Overworld theme. I submitted it a couple of days ago, and I'm wondering what you guys think of it. This is the first thing I've uploaded to this site. Hope this upload works, as it's the first time I've ever done something like this on a forum: I couldn't embed it, so here's a hyperlink instead.
  23. Hi everyone. I'm newbie here and I would like to show my job. This is my version of Streets of Desolation from Batman of NES. I hope you enjoy.
