  1. https://youtu.be/_xPqx0-ssXw Star Fox remix my buddy, Tee Lopes, and I recently had a lot of fun putting together.
  2. Hi everyone, I'm not sure if this is the right place for this post, but this is a bit of an "art" project to me. I've been making a VGM "Fake Book" (it's like a compilation of charts with rhythm notation, chord charts, and two monophonic voices harmonized in a typical jazz arrangement style), and I wanted to share the progress with OCR in case anyone could get some use out of it. I suppose, in some sense, this is my "visual art project" relating to game music. It is a labor of love, so it is incomplete but entries are always being added to it. I'm in the phase of adding the finalized pro
  3. Original in-game track: Hey there! I was hoping to get feedback on this metal cover of Death Egg Zone from Sonic 2 I just did. It was my second video game cover and I remembered this site from when I was much younger, and thought maybe it could stand to be considered worthy of OC Remix. Please, tell me what you think and if I should submit it for review here! (Also I have a Ristar cover from three weeks ago if you're interested -- also on my YouTube channel)
  4. Yo! I made guitar arrangement for Astronomia from Vicetone & Tony Igy. It also features my skydiving... that was intense! Original song:
  5. Hey guys! I hope you've all been well. Recently I came back to making videos after a 2 year long hiatus involving hurricanes, earthquakes, and now a pandemic Also tried to download Mega Man II on my iPhone and hated it so, so this is my way of venting my frustrations with that I hope you guys enjoyed it, would love to know what you guys think!!! And if you share, like or comment on the vid or any of my social accounts i will GREATLY appreciate it
  6. Touhou 15 - Stage 5 Boss Theme (Clownpiece - Pierrot of the Star-Spangled Banner) This is very cool theme from Touhou Project. I made my own guitar version for it. Features some synth and strings too. Here is the original:
  7. Hi there fellow video game music fans. I just released my new version of this epic theme from Strikers 1945 II. Devil's Tower is going to be hot... The original song:
  8. Just threw this together quickly as I wanted to pay tribute to my favourite part of the new Streets of Rage 4 soundtrack. For me the soundtrack is really interesting, I personally miss the iconic melodies of the first two games but overall it works, and while I feel it is lacking those catchy melodies, suddenly there are moments like this in the game where it just hits home and immediately feels nostalgic even though it's brand new. https://youtu.be/LfDkxa2Teek
  9. Hi there folks. Just finished my Touhou - U.N. Owen Was Her? arrangement. Hard to describe, so it's just better to see for yourself :D. The original:
  10. Hello! I just finished new arrangement for Dark Cloud - Main Theme. Guitar is in the main role, but piano and synth also plays key parts in this. The original: What are your thoughts? I have been struggling with drum programming a little bit recently. If anyone knows or has some helpful tutorials concerning that, I'm very interested to check those out!
  11. Hi there! I made an arrangement for Strikers 1945 II - Battle of Extreme North There has been some time since I played or recorded guitar, but this one got my fire back. Here is the original soundtrack:
  12. Hey guys! This is my take on the Stickerbrush Symphony theme from DKC2. I went for a Joe Satriani feel on the overall track, I hope you guys like it! https://drive.google.com/open?id=15bq3BVBAGtGuEGPSmdlFuQ5oAi8XNPI_
  13. HI! I did a cover for guitar of - Tifa's Theme - from Final Fantasy VII by the great composer Nobuo Uematsu. Check it out and share if you like!

  15. Hi there! I'm Paul. I'm new to this website so I'm not 100% how it works but, I've seen some really awesome stuff though and I'm glad to be a part of this community! I've just started my own journey of creating metal versions of classic retro (and maybe some modern) video game music. I've started with a very well known theme that's probably been done to death, but I'd like to think I put my own spin on it. A Swedish melodic metal twist perhaps? Anyway... here it is! Hope you all like it! Peace!
  16. Hello people. Wanted to share here one of my work. It isn't supposed to become an OCR thing, but just wanted to share it with you, as i think it's one of my "best" work so far. Even if i'm still a noob with synth and i still have a lot to learn about mixing. But anyway, here it is, any kind of feedbacks, even harsh ones are welcome, as my goal is to keep on improving =)
  17. Updated Track: OLD POST BELOW Redoing this thread to focus only on one song, original post is in the quote below, I will come back to those tracks when I feel like it. OLD Choke Point Sweep (July/18/2018) F# 145BPM Sharing my latest. Here is a track I made with no goal in mind. Can't quite place it or relate it with anything but it has a lot of lead synth. I don't know where else to share my work for feedback so I am leaving it up to you. its only 3:10 so its short. I'm still fiddling with the equalizer to find the best tones and I think I may be having ear fatigu
  18. Hello to all the amazing Ocremix comunity, My name is Carlo Francesco Lopez and i wanna share with you my latest recording. Its a medley of Double Dragon 3 for the NES. Cheers!! lml
  19. Hello people, i just made a new thing, a kind of "smooth" guitar version of Floating Away from Kirby Super Star! I originally don't know Kirby music so i took the time to listen to a bunch of them and this one caught my attention. I really liked how relaxing the main melody was. So my idea for the arrangement was to make it even more chill. My main inspiration was "Breath" by Pink Floyd, especially for the drums. This arrangement also features a lot of improvisation (approximately 60% of the song) so i took a lot of freedom here and it's really different from the original. Still hope
  20. Hello everyone, New here! This is my first cover that I put on YouTube about a month ago. I want to clarify I do not plan on submitting this, I just wanted to get some feedback so I can improve my future remixes. I will welcome all the feedback I can get! I will say that I am not happy about how my leads sound in this, and that is an area I am struggling in for other projects as well. In particular, I feel they sound very thin. Does anyone have any tips? I have tried several things, more reverb, less delay, less reverb, EQing.. I am running out of ideas. Anyways
  21. Actually pretty proud of this. A lot of it is original material because I wanted to make it my own. Let me know what you think. Here's a link to my SoundCloud for better audio quality:
  22. Please check out my song Rainy Day and tell me what you think
  23. Source: I'll admit (despite my normal inclination toward humility) I'm damn proud of this. I don't know what I would change from a mix perspective or anything but the real question is... Too conservative for OCR? XD That's the thing I have trouble gauging. Lyrics are attached. FallingDownLryics.txt
  24. Hi :)! I finished new cover. It's Underwater theme from Super Mario Bros. I went for the clean guitar and i think it turned out quite okay. Feedback is appreciated! Here is the Cover: Here is the Original:
