benryhenson Posted January 4, 2008 Share Posted January 4, 2008 Wow, I posted a thread about this track as a WIP years ago, and the thing has been sitting on my hard drive at like 95% completion all this time. So I dusted it off and remastered it. This song mainly uses "The Factory Remains" from CT with splashes of "Primitive Mountain." I would describe it by categorizing it as hip-hop/industrial. It contains rap from the POV of Robo. Most of the song elements were made from scratch, with the obvious exception of numerous CT sound fx. Let me know what you think, because I need to just finish this thing already and move on. metaphist Posted January 4, 2008 Share Posted January 4, 2008 I'm not too keen on industrial, but I know it's supposed to be rather loud and grating, which this is. But it doesn't bode will for understanding the lyrics, especially with the vocoder effect on. I caught a few lines and it sounded pretty good though. You got the bassline from the factory, but you could through some of it's melodic parts in as well. The lines from Primitive Mountain work well. So it's kind of a mixed bag for me.
