It moves along quite well without percussion if you ask me. I'm curious about the context behind it as well. Did you have a specific purpose in mind, or did you just want to challenge yourself with something new?

The tune would basically be playing during one of the levels of an action/platforming game, segmented into loops. The bit toward the end would be the time-is-running-out jingle, and the outro at the very end would be left out. The lack of percussion was specifically done to make room for sound effects.

Alright, sounds good.

Could you explain what the level would be like? Or do you not know that much about it?

Gameplaywise, I only know that it's very much out of the Super Mario Bros. mold, with the character heading directly toward a goal. The theme and feel of it is still pretty vague.
