Well anyway. This one is a remix from FF6 Terra (sorry). I've made it to sound sad and that's why there are no special effects. Also, the way you doubled up the piano melody on separate channels is not pleasing either. I like the choir sounds, though. Overall, very mechanical sounding, doesn't flow very well and the interpretation leaves much to be desired. no
Malcos Posted March 14, 2003 Posted March 14, 2003 I recognise this, one of my favourite FF tunes. The strings need more reverb on them, and the piano is also very dry. The sounds don't blend together as well as they could as a result of this, and therefore the song doesn't flow as smoothly as it should. NO
Digital Coma Posted March 21, 2003 Posted March 21, 2003 Oh boy. You know how high expectations are for Terra mixes. There's little original arrangement here, and the remade instrumentation is stale with the replications (piano, strings) and dull with the additions (drumline, bassline). The strings first come across as stylistic, but quickly become irritating as the abrupt release is continued. It's basically elongations of the melody and counter-melody. Ultimately, what this mix lacks most is a fresh or innovative interpretation. NO
