Hey yall,

I fixed the problem with the midranges in this song, now it sounds full and a lot better (at least in my cans) so hopefully yall will enjoy this as much as i enjoyed making it..

I Know........ this song is way overdone as well as everything finalfantasy but i started making this song before i realized how much it has been remixed.. guess i have the same taste as a lot of remixers. oh well!

Enjoy!

Short and sweet. The overall mixing was cleaner and better, but your textures were still empty and exposed weaknesses in some of the sample quality and sequencing, exactly in the areas criticized last time.

Leaving the arrangement the same, Mike, if the track had more padding and/or density during those sections, the end result would sound a lot better. So basically, some improvement in the drum writing for the emptier sections, but you still need meat on the bones for those portions. Hopefully the others can elaborate further, Mike. I still really like the potential here.

Cool, definitely an improvement over the last version. Balancing seems good. I think the overall sound is still a little thin, but I'm having a hard time putting a finger on why that is. The snare still sounds like a weak link and I really think you should layer it with a snare with more low-end thump to it. Those low-mid ranges often feel a little empty in this song and filling that region might be the key here. It's hard to say for sure; maybe some other judges or people in the WIP forum can provide suggestions.

My comment about the arrangement still stands from the last version. It's on the conservative side, and you can still hear a lot of the original in this. I don't think anything necessarily has to change, but I'd love to see some minor melodic changes and more countermelodies for variety. You're steadily moving your way up towards that bar, Michael. I hope you keep going with this song.

This sounds way cleaner than last time, so nice job there. I gotta agree that you need to embellish the source more. Step out of the box rhythmically and syncopate this bitch. D: Countermelodies will help too. I like the part at the end; the tempo changes are really great. Just needs a little more and you'll be there.

NO (superborderline, plz resub)
