Halt
I was all into the idea of music mixing, but when i was going to buy the keyboard bout a month and a half ago, my family kept telling me, I wont use it -.- So, I refrained from buying it. I WANT to learn to mix music and whatnot. But im kinda misguided. =/

I agree and suggest killing your entire family.* * Burn7 Toast does NOT endorse killing any part of your family** ** Family includes blood relatives. Your mother in-law does not count. Jens Wulvik
Actually, my family told me the same, they said I was not gonna be using my keyboard for more than a few weeks. They were so wrong:)
Lunahorum
buy a $50 two octave midi controller off ebay and start going to town. You really do have to make an initial investment. You can't try to get by with free crap all the time. Save $50 and buy a keyboard. If you end up not liking music, then at least you will only have spent $50 instead of spending days after days of worrying about whether or not you would like it or not. example - http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-KORG-MC-1-MICROKONTROL-MIDI-STUDIO-CONTROLLER-NR_W0QQitemZ120302759216QQihZ002QQcategoryZ41784QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com/MIDIMAN-M-AUDIO-OXYGEN-8-USB-MIDI-CONTROLLER-KEYBOARD_W0QQitemZ310080465079QQihZ021QQcategoryZ41784QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem edit: O wait do you have a DAW to work in? Before you do anything, download a demo of FL studio/sonar/ableton/reaper/whatever and look at the demo project that comes with it

Get yourself a decent keyboard. http://www.roland.com/PRODUCTS/EN/PCR-50/index.html Those retail for about $125-150 and are great. Also, that ebay auction you linked to has over 8 days left. That's gonna end MUCH higher.

Yoozer
The idea of using eBay or the classifieds is that when you buy it and your family's right, you can sell it for the same amount.

The thing about my family, they wont put there credit cards or bank accounts on a paypal or the internet for that fact. I prefer Retail.
