Pantheon
So after spending some time looking through some of my old piano projects, I found this one I did during the summer. I had completely forgot about it, since I diddnt have time to work on it. Good news is now I have found the time to finish this, and this is what I have so far: http://www.tindeck.com/audio/my/mvyf/Kraid-Remix-WIP Please, tell me what you think. wouldntyouliketoknow
It's pretty good. I've always been fond of the song. Your take on it is quite similar to the original, with the exception of the altered note and some rhythms. Overall, it's pretty good. A bit repetitive, but still tolerable. I think I heard a mistake somewhere in there... Just improve some parts a bit and you've got yourself a good song.
Pantheon
Yeah, I think I'd heard a couple mistakes, but those are easy fixes. I've been thinking about adding drums to it, just to give it some more dynamics, but I'm not so sure.
SplinterOfChaos
The base is too monotonous, especially for when it's all you can hear.
Rozovian
It's got a few nice personalizations and deviations from source, but is too repetitive overall. It's a well-remixed source, so you gotta make it captivating enough. At over 4 minutes long, you could easily cut out a bit of the repetition. The bit around 2:40 is my favorite deviation/interpretation, just make more of those, more interesting, and don't be afraid to toss in some vague reference to source. And of course, make sure they fit in, in terms of direction. Feels like you were just playing for length here. It's also a bit boring sounding, in terms of its sound. More ambience, whether that's reverb, delay, or some other effect. Cutting out some mids will give this a clearer and colder sound, which might fit the source and will certainly alter the overall sound. Could be good. Good luck.
