djpretzel
Hello DJP! I've done a remix of Zero's Theme from MegaMan X2, which incorporates his themes from the other two games. The file is available here: If needed, I can provide a more suitable bitrate version. Enjoy the mix! ~DarkeSword http://darkesword.does.it
Vig
a lot of the elements of this mix work, but there are two big things that bother me quite a bit. first of all, the lead synth sounds like a duck. no good. second, the incorporation of the x1 and x3 zero themes sounds slapped together. the harmonies don't work. the x2 arrangement sounds fine. perhaps not outstanding in any way, but it was solid. the other melodies seriously detract from the quality of the remix. fix these two things, then come back. Protricity
Heheh.. lots of themes in here. a... LOT of themes. Its pretty much all the zero themes. I really like the arrangement qualities of this mix. The thing that kills it is the lead guitar sample. Its just nothing like a guitar (not exactly like a duck either, but right in between) There are some times that are rather flooded during this mix like at 2:38. The chords don't work with the lead. I would really like to see this done with a more fitting lead, though the arrangement itself shouldn't be touched much. Its pretty good. Really like the Triangles Samples killed the song as well as a few questionable notation issues. Watch those chords. Please resubmit with the above taken to heart! m68030
More claps oh well. I third the oddness of that lead. It's really the filter envelope that makes it weird... giving it that 'vocal' quality of the moving bandpass type thingy. I'd keep it but slow the asdr on the filter envelope, maybe even delink it from every single trigger so that it filters over each section slowly changing instead of per-note. I dunno, just some ideas... A few issues with notes not in the proper key also.. I'd just transpose the offending notes to keep with the theme. Better to sound good than be 1:1 with the original. Variations the name of the game anyway, right? I like what's going on here, i just don't like how it's happening. Were it not for that lead synth I might say yes, but right now it's just too goofy sounding. (: NO
Malcos
My only problem with this song is the lead instrument. Oh, haha, that seems to be the main gripe with everyone else too. IMO, that's the only thing that is stopping me from saying yes. It just takes away from any seriousness the mix might have had, if you get what I mean. Some synth sounds can do that. NO Change that synth.
