Protricity
I heard this one already. I advised the author not to follow so close to the original as is going on in this mix. Guess they didn't listen... Theres simply no.. rearrangement at all... oh wait. This part (3:30) is new. Cool, but simply doesn't make up for the rest. Vig
Zophar doesnt want to let me listen to the OST, but from a number of midis to which i have listened, it seems to me like the only change in this mix is the addition of a piano. seems there isnt enough arrangement. but this sounds awfully nice. i'd love for someone to prove me wrong. DarkeSword
I agree. This song is pretty similar to the original, except it's a bit simpler, and it's got a rain sample. The piano sounds REALLY mechanical too, and the sample used comes off sounding too bright. I'd pay attention to piano velocities. That choir part is lifted right out of the original too. The original had a great organic quality; what you've done here isn't very interesting, and it sounds really mechanical and lifeless. Too bad too. If you put more effort into the rearrangement, maybe even if you got someone to do some vocals for you, you could be onto something. NO
GrayLightning
I agree, this follows closely with the original. This needs more arrangement. It's almost not fair to compare this to the original since that was so good. This is a pretty pleasant mix, I think it needs more arrangement for more serious consideration. The last section of the mix is beautiful. Expand on these ideas. Make the whole mix sound like it did in the end. Nice mix, but this needs more.
