djpretzel
Ok.. Here's a remix which my friend and I put together a while ago.. We have sent it a couple of times to the Overclocked. No answer, not even whether it has been rejected or approved. We have checked the forums too. So I thought it's time to resend this baby. Anyway, it's a cover from scratch, a cover from the Dr. Wily's Skull Castle stage 1 from Mega Man 2. Since we worked as a team, let remixer name be the Axes of Wily. Here's the URL: Cheers, Ari Lavander
Protricity
Whoa.. lo fi. Unfortunately this song has some major issues: The guitar harmony does not fit the key very well in several parts. The percussion is horribly low fi. Guitars are poorly recorded, played ok, not great. In the end this song really does sound 'thrown together'. Work on your theory a bit better like with the notation at 2:26. Get a better recording. Get higher quality drums. Then resubmit NO EDIT: I'm considering changing my vote to a yes cause the artist is named 'Ari'.
Vig
ouch...the recording quality hurts here. the guitars could use some reverb. the recording is otherwise mushy. Some big mastering issues. not enough mid. Also, during the bridge, there are some harmonic issues. some bad notes. My biggest issue is that this is nearly four minutes long, and maybe 3 of those minutes are exactly the same as the original. NO
Disco Dan
1) tune the guitars. 2) work on instrument timing. This one is less evident as the song goes on, but in the beginning it's incredibly obvious. 3) pick harmonies that work in a given chord structure. 4) tuning and timing NO But the solo is well executed. DarkeSword
This is really lo-fi man. Really. Guitar playing isn't bad though, and I don't mind the interesting harmonies too much, but there are a few timing issues that I keep hearing. Guitar solos are nice. The lo-fi-ness really kills this song though, it's hard to separate what's going on in this song. NO
