AMT
So I'm looking to buy a drum sampler around $200, and Addictive Drums is looking really nice. Does anybody here use them, and if so, do you have any examples of songs that they're in so I can hear how they sound in a mix? What are your opinions on them? Thanks! Zephyr
Try out the demo, I use the demo sometimes for fooling around, it's got really good sound and quite a few articulations. Another nice thing is the expansion packs, but also the built in midi loop center, it comes with a bunch of loops built in.
Level 99
Hey, DeathBySpoon...you know that Kirby song? Yeah, that's Addictive Drums at work. Take that as a good, not-finally-mastered demo of it. I've had it almost a year and it is well worth the money. Not only does it sound fantastic, but the learning curve isn't too bad, it's easy to cut right to jamming, the mixing is great, the bundled kit presets are quite varied, and the included midi beats and fills are ridiculously convincing. I've used it on every mix where I've done drums for the most-part since I bought it.
LuketheXjesse
Addictive Drums is great, and I only use the demo in my songs (I am poor, sue me). Superior 2.0 is a really good alternative too, though. I think it offers more customization based off what I've heard too, but I've never tried it so I can't say for sure.
