Theophany
Another short WIP towards my Temples project to share with you guys. I plan to come back to this at a later point and add wood-oriented percussion, and possibly other instruments, but this is mostly meant to be a scenic track that sets up either Forest Temple or Minuet. I plan to work on the ambient aspect more as well, so it is more immersive. Anyway, enjoy the first WIP, let me know what you guys think Suggestions always welcome. ZealPath
Very beautiful nature-ish piece, seems perfect for what you're going for. I immediately picture a peaceful grove, the birds chirping is highly appropriate. I definitely think the ambient part of this is working, very nice. Monobrow
All I can say about this is probably that there are some dissonant chords that don't sit too well with me starting at 1:06. I'd maybe look into the harp notes there and see if any other chord progressions around that part sound any better with what you have going with the flute. Good luck, it's pretty stuff. MechaFone
I about had a nerd/joygasm when I ran into the Sacred Grove on Twilight Princess. Your song here captures that moment well, I like the soundscape feeling you have going here. I'm with Mono though, at about 1:06 you have some strange sounds accompanying your instruments. Otherwise, I really like what you've got going here. Keep tweaking, you're off to a good start.
panzi
Very very nice. Almost perfect. I just don't like the... what is it? Breathing noise? I don't know. Saved it.
Nubioso
Very very nice. Almost perfect. I just don't like the... what is it? Breathing noise? I don't know. Saved it. Yeah, I hear what you're talking about. It's the flute notes and you can hear the air wheezing through the flute too much....that should definitely not be that present like it is. Other than that, like everyone else says, nice song.
Theophany
Thanks guys, I appreciate all the feedback
Nubioso
So do you play flute or know someone or is that just the samples? I'm listening to your other zelda remix that's been posted and the flute and harp sound excellent. You should definitely make the flute in this new song sound like the one in your previous song because that one sounds flawless.
Theophany
That flute and harp sample was from way back when my friend had a high-end roland keyboard. I've been looking into getting some new stuff, though, but there's no rush. This wip isn't really going to stay as is, I'm planning to make a different, more involved version, as part of a larger project. Thanks for all the feedback though, guys! Sorry to make you wait, but if things turn out the way I'm hoping, I think it will be well worth the wait.
Scrap McNapps
The flute as mentioned before has a too much breathing in it. Other than that, this sounds beautiful. Good luck on your project!
