Hello everyone and welcome to the People's Remix Competition!

A little earlier as usual again, but I want to start remixing already.

Last three rounds where slow, but every round got a song. S|r Nuts, Txai and JerryTerry won the rounds by default. JerryTerry was the last rounds winner, he selected the source pretty fast. I'm sure this round will have at least one entry.

PRC Classic of the two weeks

If you look at the title, you won't be surprised that I selected a round with a Sonic source. It's round 84 this time. 5 Remixers submitted a song in the PRC thread (ThaSauce wasn't up at that moment). Avaris received not many points, Aluminum and Alex Smith tied for third place. The top 2 where close, I still remember doubting who to vote first (at the end the difference was only one point). General Slicer was close, but Sir Nuts won with a song called Goa Zone.

I chose Scrap Brain from Sonic the Hedgehog on the Master System (Not the Genesis/Mega Drive one, they had completely different tunes for some reason)

It's one of my favourite game tunes from my childhood, and suprisingly it's never been remixed (as far I'm aware of). Let's hope we can put an end to that.

It's Sonic the Hedgehog 1, for the Master System. Like stated in the classic, Sonic was a PRC tune in PRC84. Before that, PRC46, PRC66, PRC83, and later in PRC122, Sonic delivered the source to be remixed. And of course, there where Ocremix Projects from Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Sonic 3 & Knuckles. Sonic also has a lot of individual songs at Ocremix too.

Again, this song is from the Master System, so don't remix the Genesis/Mega Drive version of it (of course you may mix both songs in one, as long as the Master System source is included).

2. Limitations at ThaSauce require your entry to be 6MB or less in size. Length for length's sake and MIDI rips are not allowed.
   
3. Entries must be posted in the ThaSauce link by SUNDAY February 7th at 10:59 am ThaSauce time (Check my signature (below) and the ThaSauce page for the exact time left. .
   
4. You may enter as many mixes as you like and work with as many people as you like on each mix. You are free to create a second ThaSauce account for that, it's needed to be able to upload a second remix.
   
5. Do not make qualitative comments on an entry until the results of the vote have been posted.
   
6. Mixers cannot vote for themselves but if they vote they recieve a free first place vote added onto their score.
   
7. The winner of the previous contest can't take part, but he/she can enter a Bonus Mix and she/he has a vote that counts twice.

It's been a while, but here's the voting stage.

The mixing stage is over. To vote, you should do the following:

- Visit the stated ThaSauce Page and listen to all the entries

- Scroll to the form at the bottom of the screen

- Fill in the rank of the entries from first to second. Leave the third box empty.

- State a reasoning for it.

Participants don't have to vote, but they are allowed; they receive an added first place if they vote.
