djpretzel Posted June 28, 2004 Posted June 28, 2004 hiya. i got pointed in the direction of your site by a few guys from the Tranceaddict forums, and i believe i have something that might be of interest: Track: Davian - (Theme From) Hellfire (Surefire extended mix) Original Composer: Tatsuya Uemura Copyright: Taito (1989) This is an arrangement which uses parts of the music from the first stage of "Hellfire" on the Genesis. the ID3v1 tag info should be all there. didn't fill in the v2 tags, as they supposedly cause problems with encoding, or so mp3.com.au claim. btw, the name's Davian, site for now = www.mp3.com.au/davian thanx

It's definitely trance; no question about that, but what I'm say is that all there really is to this is the lead, the bass, and the percussion. As a result, it comes off sounding very empty. It's also repetitive; its the same filter/defilter over and over again. NO

If this were a year or so ago, this would have been a yes, but the trance standards have risen since then. Fun mix, but not much stands out. It's a bit too predictable and generic from instrumentation to progression. Biggest problem for this mix is it's just too repetitive. Change ups would have been a relief. Like Darkesword, I really wish there was more to this. I suggest you post this in our Work In Progress/Completed forum. Many will enjoy this. Borderline No.
