DarkeSword Posted June 28, 2004 Posted June 28, 2004 I found this mix to be pretty uninteresting. The synths were typical and the arrangement felt like it was dragging a bit. Kudos for using trumpet in a dance mix, but shame on you for using such a terrible sample. Percussion was very boring too, which was a bit disappointing, because there were some interesting sounds in the intro. NO
GrayLightning Posted June 29, 2004 Posted June 29, 2004 This is a fairly average mix. Nothing really wrong here, but nothing stands out either. I would suggest this kind of mix at least build in momentum and energy. For the genre you are going for it would have resulted in much stronger work. NO
Protricity Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 Pretty straight forward boomtish. Issue here is that the melody does not deviate from the original at all. This is what I'm looking for. To me, its lazy to just play the original with different samples and add some simplistic boomtish. NO
