BondExtreme
Sup my fellow OCr's. So I recorded myself in audacity for about 8 min. The file size is a whopping 44mb.. I need to get this compressed. Anyway know of any simple ways to do this or if there are any free programs out there to do this? THX!
Rozovian
Google. Seriously, use it. Might be a good idea to read up on compression too, so you know what you're doing. The difference between lossy and lossless compression is important, and knowing at what point quality starts becoming an issue is another. We need more information to help you. Is this a recording you want to put up on the net as an mp3 for ppl to listen to, something to send to someone else to mix, or for storage? The Vagrance
For listening purposes? Just convert it to mp3 and use Audacity's export feature (you will have to google for the lame dll file though). If you plan on actually using the recorded audio in a track, however, I would leave it uncompressed so you have the maximal sound quality. EDIT: A minute too slow
