DjjD
Just wanted some feedback on a few things in particular...namely, I wonder if the bass is "fighting" with the percussion. I've heard from a few people that they're kinda clashing but...just wanted to check with...a few "more" people. Anyway, give it a listen, throw down some feedback...I'm really open to any ideas you all might have. Thanks. shadypickle
I really like how the percussion starts out lo-fi and slowly becomes a real kit. I would not say that the two clash, but the bass sounds sort of like it's fighting to be heard. Perhaps changing what the bass plays would make it more interesting. The line it plays is easily lost in the mix. I don't know if it will work, but give it a shot. This is a nice groove
DjjD
Thanks for the advice...I've been working on it for a while now. Trying to change up the bass just a lil'. Anyway, I think I got the problem solved with the drums/bass. In any case, here's an update. Thoughts? http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3253668/RR%20WIP%20%238.mp3 Here's a Tindeck link, if anyone needs it: http://tindeck.com/listen/nfqc
Geeky Stoner
This is cool i really like it, and no i wouldn't say the bass is really clashing with the drums. Ditto to the comment about the low fi drums in the beggining. I love the way you approached the ending to this as well, sort of a long breath of relief after all the intensity before. Nice Work
shadypickle
Oh man this is sick. The slight changes to the bass did the trick. I also really like how it slowly comes back down after an awesome groove. Really cool man. Really cool
DjjD
...and I think this is the nearly finished product. Thanks to a lot of people who helped out with feedback. Enjoy.
