In my last mix, I tried so hard to include it but it did't make sense. So now I'm back with another MGS mix but this time, including bits of Assassin's Creed as well. Once again, this is going to be a full blown vocal tracks but for now, you'll have to deal with crappy samples and ripped vocals from source: Rough Draft: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3443029/My%20Remixes/WIP/MGS_Draft.mp3 - The bad choir sample at 00:30 is just a placeholder and will be replaced by real vocals - "The Best Is Yet To Come" needs to be recorded by a vocalist - Most instruments are placeholders at the moment, including drums. I just wanted to get the idea out so I can collect thoughts. I always thought that a slightly changed chord pattern can really boost the emotions of this track so I've added a lot of new chords here. OfficialJab Posted December 31, 2011 Share Posted December 31, 2011 I actually don't hate that choir sound, it fits a 'cold' feeling really nicely, since Best Is Yet To Come will usually be associated with the snowy Alaska setting. I've got Claire Yaxley (Vocals) and Chris | Amaterasu (Violins) on board again So far, most of the mix is done except all vocals and violins pieces are placeholders for now until I get input form Claire and Chris. I still need to add more background and support elements. Your vocals actually fit your song and the style as well . You should do a mix with your vocals in it one day . The lyrics sound fine to me, and I can't really think of adding anything to it. I'm glad you liked it But I wasn't really satisfied with the results so decided to drop the idea and completely redo the entire track from scratch, with a new key that makes more sense with Claire's voice. Here is the new WIP for the track (with my vocals as placeholders for now): DropBox: Instrumental Version Still needs Claire's vocals, Chris's violin pieces, some background stuff and a bit of mixing once everything is in place.
