Ringworm128
Back in March I asked if anyone would be interested in helping me make a Sonic CD album when I got enough experience to direct said album. But it hit me, even if I had the experience directing an OST as big as Sonic CD would be a huge first time task, So I decided to start fishing for interest in a Legend of Zelda album since it has a small yet extremely classic soundtrack and I believe this site should have more Zelda albums on it. Track list Title BGM: Overworld BGM: Dungeon BGM: Dungeon 9 BGM:(reserved) Ending BGM:
Anorax
there are a lot of Zelda albums in the works, all in various stages of development. I don't know how many people would want to join yet-another-album, especially one that is another Zelda album.
Garrett Williamson
I'd do one but Anorax is sort of right. I'm not a part of any of these Zelda records so I'd be happy to join this one, but I think there may be too many right now. :/
Ringworm128
Then what about a Super Mario Bros album? Track list. Ground BGM. Underground BGM. Underwater BGM. Castle BGM. Ending. (sorry can't actually find an upload of the track.)
Garrett Williamson
Well that was quite the random change. I mean, just because we said that doesn't mean we had to immediately change to something else. You also seem you may be planning ahead with the tracks far too early. And honestly, Mario's been a little overdone too... especially the original tunes. :/
Swifthom
I'd join a Rayman album in a heartbeat If you want to join a zelda album there are several still recruiting (http://ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php - not desperate at all)
begoma
what about raf world/journey to silius? It hasn't been done before, and the soundtrack is rather short.
Ringworm128
I've decided to stick to my original idea of a LOZ album. Even though there is apparently more then a few being made. I'm still thinking it through but so far I really like the idea of the album having an "extreme" feel to it. So stuff like hard style techno, drum and bass, heavy metal and maybe even rap. Oh, we have an idea now? sweet. Because it seems like you want to go with dark, extreme, etc. Maybe it can be like a boss-theme Zelda album? Using themes from several bosses across several games, with the option to mix in sources from other "darker" Zelda tunes.
Garrett Williamson
That honestly sounds like a good idea.
Kanohi
As a producer and lover of heavy and energetic musics, I'd be totally interested in this idea. I feel instead of Boss themes, just go for the darkness themes altogether? I'll keep watch on this thread, interested to see what the tracklist may be! Ringworm128
Bumping this to see if there is still interest. I'm currently thinking up ideas for album covers.
