Palpable
Remixer name: Brent Wollman Email address: Website: http://tindeck.com/users/Clem12344 UserId: 41181 Game arranged: Legend of Mana Name of arrangement: Acid Drenched Dream Name of individual song arranged: Everyday Dream http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0zibtE6nad0 Link to my Remix: I made this remix of a track from Legend of Mana. I have never played the game, but I thought this was a nice track. My interpretation is really heavily (and obviously) inspired by Aphex Twin, particularly his faster works like Girl / Boy and a lot of the shit from drukqs. The whole thing may be a little too obtuse. I dunno. Let me know!
OceansAndrew
There's a lot of cool stuff going on, but for a lot of it, it felt like 2 different tracks, and didn't really rhythmically match up. The changes of chords and melody didn't work as a single unit, and at times sounded like they were 2 different tempos. It got a little better near the ending, but that level of interplay should have been there throughout. I'd like to hear you submit some more stuff, because you have some great ideas and pretty good production chops, but I don't think that this specific arrangement works as-is. Sorry. Emunator
Uhh, yeah Brent... this is pretty out there As usual, you demonstrate a lot of creativity, and as a fan of IDM I think you pretty much nailed the Aphex Twin sound here. However, speaking strictly from a ReMix perspective, things don't click quite as well. There's certain parts toward the end that felt more cohesive but overall I'm with OA on this, as much as I want to pass this! Really cool experimental track in a bubble, but overall I just wasn't really feeling this for the site. Sorry! NO
DragonAvenger
Going to agree with the gentlemen. You definitely have the production chops, and there were some neat ideas here, but things just aren't matching up for the majority of the track. Hope you send in some more stuff soon, though.
