Embedding a player on a website

I'm trying to figure out the best way to put a player of my music stuff on my website that doesn't require me to buy anything. Soundcloud's option is OK, but it puts a different box on the website per song, from what I'm seeing, and my Wordpress site doesn't accept HTML5. I haven't done web design in a reaaaaally long time so I'm looking for some help on this. Thanks.

Did you look at Tindeck? That and Bandcamp are about the best solutions I've come up with for those needs.

I think you can embed a playlist using Soundcloud as well, and that should alleviate the problem of multiple boxes. Bandcamp is great, too.

I must be stupid. I can't figure out how to do Soundcloud's embedding; when it gives me the code specifically for wordpress, it only embeds that one song. I think the HTML5 code embeds a whole player, but wordpress doesn't like HTML5. I'll have to explore tindeck/bandcamp....

Did you install the SoundCloud plugin for WordPress? http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/soundcloud-shortcode/

As far as I can tell, WordPress supports HTML5.

You can definitely do Soundcloud, try the flash version. Go to a 'set' (that's a playlist of multiple songs) and then 'share'. eg.

I like Soundcloud's implementation the best.

At some point in the near future, we WILL be allowing soundcloud, youtube, and hopefully tindeck embeds back on the forums.

It's a 2013 resolution I intend to fulfill in Q1, or you can punch me.
