JH Sounds Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 (edited) Download it here - name your price (including zero) So yeah, there's this wild rumor that my new album totally synchronizes with the 1939 film The Wizard of Oz. I wanted to produce an original work that deliberately plays off of the visual imagery of the film. The end result would effectively be an alternate score and therefore would have recurring themes. The styles of music in Through the Prism vary from pop to orchestral and electronic. This is my first pay-what-you-want album, and any (optional) payment will be put toward future artistic projects. So, what do you think of this album? Please leave your thoughts below. Edited March 11, 2013 by JH Sounds Quote
ocre Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 Haven't had the chance to yet but I plan to give this a thorough listen. The concept for the album is very interesting! Quote
Meteo Xavier Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 I have to admit, JH Sounds keeps getting better with each release. It's like a catalogue coming to a boil of some kind. I kinda wish it still wasn't quite as lo-fi and gimmicky as it is, but, yeah, it was definitely a cool listen. You need to start submitting this stuff to some indie, lo-fi labels, J. It's really getting better and there's a niche for this kind of stuff, I've seen it. Quote
Brandon Strader Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 JH, has tooken a very strange path as an artist, but it's always interesting to hear where he is going. Quote

ocre Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 Meant ta get back ta this thread sooner but I finally listened through the album and I have to say, it was quite enjoyable. It's been a while since I've seen the film but a lot of the tracks somehow evoked memorable scenes from the film. Really cool stuff. Quote
DjjD Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 Just finally had a listen to the whole album. Really quite enjoyable indeed. My favorite track was "Genius Stroke". Good stuff! Quote
