DaMonz Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Having watched the trailers and some walkthrough videos... I still do not understand what this game is about. I'm pretty sure that's the point. Great, great game. Best usage of a narrator I've ever experienced. Quote
Kenogu Labz Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 The Stanley Parable was a Half-Life 2 mod that explored the limitations of narration and railroading versus open exploration, revealing the issues that game designers commonly encounter when confronted with real players' behavior. It does a pretty good job at it, in my opinion. But not understanding the goal would make it seem pretty confusing... Quote

That is exactly what I needed to hear. I've never come across a simpler, precise explanation of it until now. Thanks. Quote
Brandon Strader Posted October 21, 2013 Author Posted October 21, 2013 (edited) The game is making me really sad. \\ Oh hey, has anyone figured out how to get into the door instead of blowing up in the explosion ending? There's a door with a green light, but it closes. I'm not sure what causes it to open in the first place, but I've seen it open. Edited October 21, 2013 by Brandon Strader Quote
