MindWanderer Posted November 26, 2013 Author Posted November 26, 2013 Right, I didn't change the voting rules, but there's no sense voting if the only vote you can place is for your opponent. And there's no sense in using a point system, either; winner will be by simple majority. Quote
MindWanderer Posted December 3, 2013 Author Posted December 3, 2013 I have received zero votes, and the deadline is in just over four hours. Clearly interest is not high. I may start running these again if there's a lengthy dry spell in compos. Quote
Cash Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 Oops, forgot about this. I'll vote now, hopefully you get more than mine. Quote

Troyificus Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 It's a shame this hasn't been more popular this time around, it's just unfortunate that the new Final Fantasy compo started at the same time. Maybe there should be a sticky thread on this forum that lists when people are planning to run compos so we don't get this kind of overlap. Quote
MindWanderer Posted December 3, 2013 Author Posted December 3, 2013 Results! There were two entries and two votes, one for each entry. So Esperado, shadow24, Trism, and DusK share victory, such as it is. For myself, I thought both entries were pretty good; Trism's was a fun arrangement but I wasn't thrilled with the production (and it sounded like he agreed). Esperado's was a really solid remix all around, and I'd love to see it go through the workshop, I think it's a potential OCR candidate. Quote
Troyificus Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 Someone voted for mine?? I'm shocked! Quote

Thanks for the feedback. did you guys enjoy the usage of the shotgun sound? felt like a fun way to end a perfect dark remix. Quote

I liked the thought, but the high-quality cocking sound followed by a muffled, low-fi gunshot was jarring. I imagine you ran into loudness problems with that. Quote
