Bowlerhat
so, when I was messing around on the piano I acciddentally stumbled upon dracula's castle. And after I had played around with it for a bit I actually really liked how it turned out. I changed the key and quite a few chords and made everything a bit more dramatic. It's only in its testing stages so I didn't even bother making a 'perfect' recording. The audio quality is fine, though. Any thoughts on how I could improve this? Besides the obvious sloppy playing and bad ending. Any feedback is hugely appreciated. Uffe von Lauterbach
Aside from what has already been stated, I think it sounds like a good idea. Interesting take on the original by applying different chord progressions. It kind of gives it this old folk feeling. Maybe it's just me. I don't know. Keep it up, though, because this sounds promising, despite the already stated issues.
michinoku
This is quite nice - I like that it doesn't stay heavily in time - it has the kind of rubato push/pull of a good romantic sounding piano work, but also some more contemporary comping/mixed meter stuff when there is a set tempo. Maybe now that you've sketched it out, you can sort of lay a map out for yourself with some hints of what your approach (dynamics, attack, etc.) would be to help guide a future recording? I don't think the playing is necessarily sloppy in a lot of places, it just sounds a little tentative.
