Bundeslang Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 It looks like I missed something. I missed the songs and now the results are in, so I wasn't even able to vote. Oh well, I'm going to listen to the songs now. Quote
Rexy Posted January 30, 2007 Author Posted January 30, 2007 Doesn't help when I can't even edit the thread titles. But yeah. I need to start pestering Douli on a more frequent basis. Quote
Sir_NutS Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 Nice Work Rexy. Also nice work for Villainelle for a nice entrance. Good to see new faces around, doing a great job. One thing I've noticed is how close the first place votes count has been, which speaks for the quality. I hope to be able to join the next competition. Quote
Rexy Posted January 30, 2007 Author Posted January 30, 2007 I see that those are the words coming out from either a guy who was there during the judgment of the source tune, or a guy who drank Caribbean rum with their lunch today. Which is it, you'll find out on Friday Quote
Nario Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 I just wanted to say that my song was written in 4/4, unlike the 3/4 time signature that Dancing Animals originally had. The trick was to use a 3/8, 3/8, & 1/4 rhythm as opposed to 1/3, 1/3, & 1/3. For example: XOOXOOXOOXOOXOOXOOXOOXOO <- Original rhythm (3/4) XOOXOOXOXOOXOOXOXOOXOOXO <- Remix rhythm (4/4) Note: "X" indicates where a note would take place. Nonetheless, thanks to those who voted for me. It was very interesting making a song with nothing but black keys, that, and it was neat being able to make this in three horus (my shortest amount of time to make a "good" remix, like, ever. ). Villainelle Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 This was really fun, glad to be a part of it. Congrats to everyone for remixing that crazy source material, and Rexy for her well-deserved win. (And yes, I'm a chick. ) It was strangely relaxing and stress-relieving to take this sort of semi-ridiculous source tune and just try to mess with it for fun. Looking forward to the next PRC. Kudos all! Quote
Rexy Posted January 31, 2007 Author Posted January 31, 2007 (And yes, I'm a chick. ) Huzzah! PRC needs another female or two Quote
