Title in the works. Trying to go for a cinematic feel, much like Syberia itself.

This is only the first 1 minute and 10 seconds. Keeping it simple for the beginning.

Brief solo cello, then some buildup, the main theme is stated vanilla once, then after a timpano roll, repeated with a slight variation of mine, track ends. Planning to play around with the theme after that (a more sad minor version of the theme as the middle of the piece), and then a return at the end.

You may have to turn your speakers up.

Enjoy (or not?) =D

-> We're now into the middle portion where a secondary theme from Syberia appears. (it's one of the themes during travelling)

Holy Crap! Somebody remixing an adventure game by Sokal? Inconceivable!

Work on making that harp a little more believable. Right now it souns like it was ripped straight from LOOM. Other than that, I'd have to say its great. Still has the feeling of the original. Definitely keep on working on this. And for godsakes, make it longer and more epic.

Thank you for the comments.

They're pretty much the only thing I play nowadays anyways. Doesn't hurt that the music is nice.

That was my plan, good sir.

I agree the harp sounds a bit out of place. Will try to fix that in the future.

This sounds similar in style to The Elder Scrolls, nice. I like the expressive samples, but with expression you should be careful not to interrupt the envelopes too much; it can sound like hiccups. Try editing them or possibly slowing the tempo a little to let the expression out.

Much better with the integration of the harp this time. I would guess the 'sloppiness' would be the flute not blending with the excellent soundscape that you've created. I'll definitely be watching (or listening to, as the case stands) this.

Do you mean the fast flute runs at the end there? Yeah, those sound a bit akward don't they.

Most of these gripes are minor and I'm only making them because I want this to be perfect for submission. I want to see something from Syberia posted.

Harp still needs a little work on the blending.

1:03-7 sounds fairly cluttered and a little too muddy.

2:15-17 that buildup in the percussion is a little to gradual, but this is more of 'my preference' than an actual problem.

2:23 - entering instrument doesn't do so seamlessly. Maybe work a little more on this entrance.

2:30 and on. Background parts seem ever so slightly off. I don't think they'll NO you for this, but it would be good to just polish them up a bit (I wish I had your talent).

Your file is already 6mb and as such, will have to go through some compression if you want it hosted here.

Don't know the source, but this is gorgeous! Very expressive, wonderfully paced...just great. :D

All I can suggest is on the production end...transients are not very clear and the overall definition of instruments is on the muddy side. Specifically I'm thinking of the clarity and power in Jared Hudson's mixes--are you familiar with them? But perhaps production is something you're leaving until the arrangement is finished.

Anyway, great stuff here.

Still might want to work on cutting the filesize down

Yeah, I haven't really done anything on that end because it's in progress but that will definitely be cut down when I'm done.

I've always been a bit hazy with the production side of the things. I suppose it's something I'll really have to try and work on if it's a notable issue.

I'd say go for it, this is awesome. :)

The only I could is maybe a more climatic section added on to the one you alreadu got. But the whole serene feel to this might be ruined. Which, IMO, is the best part about this mix.

4:40 it feels like the jump in volume feeling is a lil too sudden.

The judges might get you for over using the cymnals alot.

I friggin love that opening cello and want to make sweet love to it.
