Souliarc Posted February 20, 2007 Posted February 20, 2007 Most likely they used a vocoder, or they set up a vocal tuner to correct to a certain scale. Quote
prophetik music ⚖️ Posted February 20, 2007 Author Posted February 20, 2007 Most likely they used a vocoder, or they set up a vocal tuner to correct to a certain scale. this was what i thought it was, but i wasn't sure. is this something that a program/vst like autotune could do, or is it something else? Souliarc Posted February 20, 2007 Posted February 20, 2007 A software autotuner most definitely has the capabilities. Just looking at Roland's V-Vocal that comes with Sonar, you can draw in pitch changes manually exactly where you want, to what extent, and for how long. For anybody wanting to know what he's talking about, you can listen to all their songs at the website: http://www.esposthumus.com/. I have their cd myself Quote
prophetik music ⚖️ Posted February 20, 2007 Author Posted February 20, 2007 can you suggest any ones that are purchaseable as a software VST? which ones are really worth the money? Quote

Souliarc Posted February 20, 2007 Posted February 20, 2007 Antares is the most widely used and it is very good but it's also the most expensive. I'm not real familiar with any other ones (besides V-Vocal, though I don't think you can buy it anywhere), but I'm sure you could get by with something less expensive. You can even try a free one called GSnap (link). I haven't used it myself but it's worth a shot. Quote
