New_You
Hey, my name is Paul Bethers, and I've been making music under the alias New You since August, 2005. I'm just finishing up recording for my debut full-length album, and I'm looking for someone to help mix and master the album's ten tracks. Stylistically, the album falls somewhere among the likes of Ferry Corsten, Air, the Killers, and Brand New. My goal with this album was to create non-apologetic electronic pop-rock that was at once sonically ambitious and yet readily accessible to an audience raised on traditional pop music. I feel like American pop culture lacks accessible electronic music, and I wanted to do what I could to change that. I mean, come on. The only musician we've got here that even scrapes the surface of electronic music's true potential for pop accessibility is Moby, and that's pretty sad. I mean, I love Moby, but still. Anyhow, as I said, I'm looking for someone to help mix and master the album, and I thought that the overflowing well of talent that is OverClocked ReMix would be the best place to start (and hopefully finish) my search. So, if you're at all interested in mixing and mastering my album, you can visit my MySpace at www.myspace.com/newyoumusic to find out a little more about who I am and what I do. If you're genuinely interested, send me a message on AIM (my SN is ComeDownNow27) and I'll be glad to answer any questions you may have and work out all the details concerning the project. Thanks!
