RepressedChaos
This is going to sound really silly to most people, but I have been wondering if the New Slimline PS2's sold in the US and Canada are able to play imported games; I got my eyes set on Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix + but it says to make sure your System can play that kind of disk.... so can they ? Gamelore
Sony, allowing imported games to play? lol.
KyleJCrb
Nope, they function identical to the original PS2. The only way you're gonna get imports to play is to mod it.
Evilhead
Google is your friend. I made it easy on you. If you don't want to mess with a modchip, you can get some swap discs to play imports: http://www.modchip.com/ps2/v12slimkit.php Here's a review of the swap disc system http://www.articlecity.com/articles/gadgets_and_gizmos/article_38.shtml I use basically the same thing on my regular PS2 (I installed a fliptop) and I recommend it. It is very easy to install, it's VERY hard to break your PS2 this way, and the swap process only adds a few seconds onto the boot process. Schwaltzvald
I may have to consider the swapdisc if I ever want to play Siren 2... oh well... Better than missing out of trying it.
