Windows Media Player ate my Library

I awoke this morning and much to my chagrin Media Player 11 had eaten all of my library settings and now won't accept new changes. Why does this always happen to me? If anybody has experienced anything similar please lemme know.

It's called XMPlay and it's the best thing to happen to your music library.

What do you mean "ate?" Like, you can't add new files to your library? I have no idea why it would do that.

i just use Itunes since i do have an ipod. I used to hate Itunes and instead opted for music match jukebox, but I'm lazy and i just use itunes. I know this isn't on topic but i don't know much about WMP

It made all of my library disappear in the player and I can't add anything to it. It's like it doesn't see the HDD but it can still play all of them like it was before. It just deleted all of my playlist and stuff. It's not life threatening or anything but I hate change >___<.
