  1. This is a cute little puzzle game that involves pushing and pulling blocks in order to ascend different 'Pushmos'(basically pixel grids). The levels get tougher (and larger) and new gameplay elements are added, such as color-coded ladders and buttons that push out a section of blocks. You can even edit your own puzzles and share them with friends via QR code (there are some cool ones being shared on NeoGAF already). Available now for $6.99. Made by Intelligent Systems - the same people who gave us all the Paper Mario, Fire Emblem and Advance Wars games. Hecka good development house. Anyway,I've played through about 50 puzzles(the game sports over 200 and has room for several custom-made puzzles) and am having fun with the game. The music and art are charming. The gameplay is pretty basic but it's very satisfying figuring out a tough puzzle. The game starts off very simple with the tutorial stages but it gets better. I recommend the game for anyone who wants something quick and rewarding to play on their 3DS. - -NeoGAF thread with various custom puzzles(may need to upgrade your Pushmo Building tool in-game) Get pumped!
  2. It would appear that Nintendo of America have stepped in to publish SquareEnix's 'Bravely Default: Flying Fairy' 3DS RPG (spiritual sequel to the DS RPG 'Final Fantasy Four Heroes of Light') in North America (and I think Europe too). Awesome. And I don't get to say this often enough but: Thanks NOA! The downside is we have to wait til 2014 for it to come out.
  3. New Super Luigi U on sale for $14.99 on BestBuy.com In-Store Pickup. Same amount of (new) content as in the retail release of NSMBU. Supposed to be challenging.
  4. Fire Emblem Awakening for $15 on BestBuy.com While supplies last.
  5. It doesn't matter when you max out the EVs, the stat gains will be the same by Lv 100.
  6. ZombiU $15 (Wii U) While supplies last. - Yes, it's worth it.
  7. This is a nice little rundown of holiday as well as upcoming & recommended already-released games for new Wii U owners.
  8. There's a reason they show people making surprised faces in the beginning of that video. Despite having seen footage of the game many times before I still find myself impressed with how good it looks. Gonna pick up my copy tomorrow.
  9. Hope you have a great 24th birthday, in this, the Year of Luigi! Also, have a Duke of PIES, to celebrate my achieving a 'Platinum God' achievement in The Binding of Isaac, a game you gifted and introduced me to! So, fitting anniversary.
  10. Final Fantasy IV (GBA version should be findable). Then Final Fantasy IX. Final Fantasy Tactics is great but... not exactly representative of the main series... at all. (If we're gonna go down that path, PLAY THE FFTA GAMES!)
  11. Is it okay for me to be disturbed that this is a thing someone drew?
  12. That's right. Housemarque made Super Stardust HD & Super Stardust Delta(enhanced remakes of the 90s games 'Stardust' & 'Super Stardust') and Resogun.
  13. You could always crash the Xbox One midnight launch this friday and buy SM3DW (A Link Between Worlds comes out the same day too). :3
  14. Or they could just be great games.
  15. Greatness arrives Friday!
  16. I do appreciate you defending me, Mirb but let's just get past that. You know what's gonna be really awesome (when it comes out)? Binding of Isaac Rebirth. So far, besides Steam, it's only coming to PS4 & PSV and PS+ subscribers are gonna get it free (along with Don't Starve). It's the perfect game to use in conjunction with the built in streaming.
  17. If you're keeping score, that's 2.5 years after the first announcement way back when we were young, in September 2011. Time flies, yo.
  18. Did I say that? Stop acting like anything that isn't high praise over the PS4 is a personal invitation for you to sweep in with your stupidity. Also "wii u isn't even really part of this generation" - really? Why are you obsessed with knocking the Wii U? lol... You seem to jump at every opportunity without fail.
  19. That's a bit premature.
  20. Not really the topic for this but, again, I'm sure the Xbox One will not slouch in sales. Even with Microsoft's fumbled PR this year, the Xbox brand is still very potent. They have practically made 'Xbox' synonymous with games (for the mainstream audience) in the same way Nintendo & Sony did in generations past. The biggest barrier for entry is the price. $499 + the subscription fee + $60 per game. I don't know if the mass market will go for it when there are $100-$200 cheaper alternatives. But the diehards will buy, no doubt. Will it sell more than PS4? I doubt it.
  21. Since you bring it up, Metacritic says hi. Killzone(75) and Knack (60) have worse scores than NSMBU (84), NintendoLand (77) & ZombiU (77). I'll give you Resogun (82). But yeah, a million units in a day is pretty impressive. It's pretty embarrassing that Nintendo sat on it's laurels and Pikmin 3 was the biggest first party game to come out in the whole of 2013 so far. But let's not act like their big guns have already released. The battle is far from over. With Super Mario 3D World out starting this week, sales won't stand still over the holiday, you can bet on that. Also I have a theory that Microsoft's PR fumbles earlier this year swayed a lot of Xbox customers over to Sony's side and pushed the numbers up higher than what are usual console launch numbers (400-600k). Not to mention the $100 price difference. Don't get me wrong, I think Xbox will sell out on the 22nd, I just think PS4 got a huge rush of support. Their PR departments were on point this year.
  22. Kojima also announced (after a huge build-up) that the .. er, suffice it to say, very polygonal... original MGS1 model of Snake will be featured as a costume in Ground Zeroes. Yay? (Also, an additional mission.) Both exclusive to the PS4 version of GZ.
  23. Uh, I can hear it but okay.
  24. So they officially announced Uncharted 4 (with a teaser trailer) and Infamous Second Son is delayed from February to March 21, 2014.
  25. Welp... The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds reviews have been pouring in. 10s everywhere, biotches.
